Woah, someone from Hull can't say anything about clubs going bust

When did the RFL help us out?
I have replied to thousands of knuckle dragger posts like this and I have never had an accurate reply to this question. The RFL didn't ever help us out, never mind every 2 seconds. We are Harlequins Rugby League, a seperate entity to Harlequins Rugby Union, so we haven't been absorbed into anything. When the Broncos holding company was folded at the request of the taxman, the Superleague chairmen voted us straight back in, not the RFL. We had a bigger quota then everyone else for the development years, but now have more "home grown" players on our books than some some of the "bigger" clubs and our reserves are sitting 4th in their table with the team made up by a cockney majority. We have one of the brightest prospects in the game on our books and if he hadn't broken his hand this season, he would surely be on the plane for Australia. The number of school children playing league in the London area is growing and all of this is down to the community programmes run by the Club.
If you can provide me with documented proof that the RFL bail us out all the time, then please post it....otherwise, stop blurting out the usual bull whinge and concentrate on facts.

| It's in todays edition of League Weekly on the Dave `Nosey ` Parker columnhe says it was virtually confirmed to him by an official at the Jungle (that Luke Dorn is coming back to London), who then proceeded to ask where he had got his information from, as Dave says he would never divulge that.

| A bit disappointed by this news. Nothing against Luke Dorn at all, but Scott Hill is very difficult to replace. We were (are!) lucky to have an ex-Aussie international of his class (injuries notwithstanding). I enjoyed watching Dorn score tries when he was with Broncos - but he isn't even in Cas's starting side for a reason.
Will he take up an import spot?

My initial post was said in jest, as I've said earlier.
My only problem with Cas is the Stadium and someone claiming they saw 2008 as a 'gap year'. The town has loyal fans who watched in numbers in 2005 and 2007, a good youth setup, etc.
I won't bother pointing out that you are going with the version of events from one singular journalist on that version of events.
Cas prove that they are on the way to a new stadium, they can see themselves as edging towards the likes of Warrington, Leeds, Hull FC, etc as those who are guaranteed a licence.

It doesnt matter if it comes from a Quins fan or your mum. Wakey and Cas are the two most vulnerable SL clubs. Deal with it.

There is nothing wrong with Cas's stadium, a great old fashioned RL ground, god help us if they are all replaced by souless JJB clones.

Erm, they owned us for a short period in the Crusaders days just before the Broncos take over...
Don't remember them giving us a big wedge of cash though.

Dorn has been a regular in the staring 13 this year. I am one of a number of fans that will be sad to see Dorn leave. And if indeed he does as predicted move on, I will thank him for his year at the club and wish him the very best next year.
By the way, what's happened to Hill? Is he off home?

I can understand why some of your fans would be concerned with a potential Dorn for Hill movement - Luke is a player i have long admired and he has done a good job for us this season (although his defence is highly suspect!).
The trouble with Dorn as a replacement is that he is a good individual but has limited organizational qualities - Hill on the other hand still looks like a world-class ball-player to me.
I'd have thought though that you'd put your faith in McDermott - if he does bring Dorn in i'm sure he'll balance things out elsewhere.
