| I believe that the club are taking the idea that we could win promotion seriously.

| If by any chance we could pull it off, I really do hope that we can find a way to work with Ealing and bring trailfinders up to an acceptable standard. I really do think being at Ealing has played a massive part in the club getting to this position where we can even think about it.

| As I understand Ealing would be the favored option, however the club are not putting all its eggs in one basket. So other ground are being looked at closely.
Ealing themselves have aspiration to get promoted themselves, which can only be a positive where ground improvement is concerned.

| It doesn't take much to build a good temporary stand. The East Stand at Blackpool is a temporary structure built for their one season (2011) in the Premier League, with the intention to make it permanent if they stayed up.

| The Stoop has temp stands at each end. The issue would be parking, increased numbers etc etc

| As others have said, if we do get promotion, let's hope we can stay at Ealing.

| In my opinion leaving Ealing would be a mistake even if we are promoted. The culture of the club with the youth teams doing well and training playing in the same small ground as the first team seems to valuably to just jump to another ground! even if it's Brentford i love griffin park but that ground is starting to fall to bits and has almost been sold 10 times to developers.
IMO staying put in ealing which is not perfect but committing to an area to grow fans and to grow with the ground makes the most sense

| We don't need to leave Ealing, we could train there and play at another ground. Thats what lots of sporting clubs do including the top soccer clubs

| Wire Quinn I don't agree, that's what we ended up doing at the stoop playing there and training elsewhere, it does not really work. I think looking at the feedback from the club a lot of issues in the past have been caused by that approach. The fact the u16s and such get to train and play on the same bit of green as the main squad has gelled the club.
I hope DH and his team are looking into options with the priority of trying to get Trailfinders up to an acceptable spec. In reality I fear the worst and we will end up searching for a new home again if we went up

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

I thought that Brentford were due to leave Griffin Park very soon for the oft mooted Lionel Road site, has that fallen through (again)?

( Hounslow Council has been pushing a proposal for an extension of Crossrail to Hounslow via Kew Bridge, using one of these freight lines. The outline document suggested a station could be built to serve the Lionel Road site. The proposal is unlikely to make it into the first phase of the Crossrail project, but might be a later addition to the route)
