Good example of the Grocer's apostrophe.
Maybe the author is missing his vocation?

That was a professional dig.......the idea of anyone, let alone the RFL listening to any advice regarding sporting administration given by this guy is laughable. I have no doubt he's a laugh a minute down the pub on a friday night, but in his ciurrent job, he's an idiot!

Well I see little difference with Nigel Woods and Gus! no wonder Magic Weekend is played in a 48,000 stadium and did not feel half full! the game is becoming a total joke.

| The last post is interesting! I would not agree with the statement that the game is a joke, but I think at the moment its in the wane instead of on the rise.
The franchise thing does not seem to have worked as they thought! teams are still struggling to stay solvent, how we keep going with our crowd figures is beyond me.
RL has gone through many many changes in the time I have been watching it! 2 leagues 1 league back to 2 then super league, promotion demotion!! half the game played in winter the pros in summer, iconic teams going bust!
But we all love the game on here I hope
So has 15 years of the super league format run its course or the 6 years of franchise!
Personally I think the Product! is still fantastic and the sport is slowly spreading believe it or not
I don't see how a half and half season can work! not knowing who you are gonna be playing in the second half of the season with the 3x8 concept is confusing, but then look at the play offs! top6 worked top 8 strewth how confusing can they make it.
2 leagues of 12 SL1 SL2 promote between the 2
in and out of SL2 well that needs thought.
Get rid of the demand for 10000 seat stadium, but insist on minimum standards in other ways
The game needs another shake up

| I'm also afraid that 'The Powers That Be' at Sky may be losing interest. The reason for suggesting this is that the coverage provided appears to be slowly diminishing with the passing of each year. Yes, I know we've all just seen 7 matches in 2 days, but, as I remember, in no particular order, we've also lost -
1) The Northern Rail Cup
2) The Oxford/Cambridge Varsity match
3) The Featherstone Rovers show (aka Championship matches) on a Thursday
4) The moving of a SL match to Mondays so it can compete head to head with Emmerdale, BGT and Coronation Street. Should be a close call...
5) Losing coverage of the World Cup to the BBC
Now, I may have missed something or my information may be at least partially lacking/incorrect, but are the above 5 points indicative of a rosy future?

| You can strike the Varsity match from that list. Sky only broadcast that as they were paid to do so. Once that ceased it was never going to be retained.

| As a Quins RU fan who adopted and now follow Broncos (You did convert some of us) the whole RFL/League just seems a bit, amateur. I don't mean any disrespect in that. What I mean is there seems no structure, just random ideas thrown in to work that by the nature of that don't really work.
I think there is a very real possibility of SKY losing all interest in SL. I think we are the rod that could break the camels back. We get our act together, get a licence when the renewals come around and push on, the other "expansion" sides in the south also progress with a real possibility of moving forward in the future or, we die a death, lose our licence, play in the championship in front of 800 fans never to return and the game goes back to being a northern game with not interest down south, sky lose interest and the game suffers and stays as a poor minority, it will happen, which is why I understand some of the northern fans protest at our being given a licence but I think in sky terms we are vital to the sport.
It breaks my heart watching the club lurch along with uncertainty and doubt. I have grown to love the Broncos but cant help feeling my love is not reciprocal as if it was, surely we would take a look at ourselves and right the MANY current wrongs. I just hope I still have a SL club to follow after 2014.

You can add losing the NRL and State of Origin to that list.
