| Maybe DH is reluctant to part with any more cash in paying off RP!

| To be fair DH has put his hand in his pocket big time this time round to sign some quality players so he DOES want the club to suceed which so he has acted!. Unfortunately in sport you are not in charge of all the variables. If RP goes and the new man can't get them to play then i don't know where we go to.

He wouldn't have to pay him off were he to move him bk to a role many believe him to better suited to, as an asst coach. Then you'd only have to find a head coaches wage and that would only cost around 2 days of Wayne Rooneys salary and would cover the best head coaches salary in RL for a year.

| Given it's now well into Monday pm, I expect Powell to be in charge on Saturday.
I really hope he is tough this week and leaves out some of the underachievers and continues to bring in young Londoners. Out of the 17 go Howell, O'Callaghan and Witt (and with them a quarter of our missed tackles so far). Randall left out or benched. Let's see much more of Caro, Dixon, Sarginson, Thomas and Krasniqi. Hopefully, we can have Clubb back on board too.
This week offers RP a massive opportunity to (a) show he us can read the game and (b) show his squad he has some presence. I remain most pessimistic about (b).

| I am surprised RP wasn't sacked in the changing room after the game on Friday and made to pay his own fare home after that shambles.....quite possibly along with some of the playing squad
So if it hasn't happend by now, I doubt it's going to happen at all

| The players have decided they aren't going to play for him. Don't know what choice DH has.

He has to be seen to be proactive, at least to try and protect his investment in the club. To that end RP has to be replaced, by whom is another matter entirely - it needs to be done before its too late to salvage the season - and it's possibly already past that point.....

Bit harsh, first four games were always going to be difficult. Salford is one that should have been won if the team are aiming for the top 8. Castleford is a no-brainer. Lose the Cas game then that is a season breaker since the mighty Wigan are up next.

| Powell does need someone more experienced over his head...Powell is more suited to assistant I think.
Our team have done nothing since Powell has been in post (both as assistant and head coach). He was supporting McDermott....who also did nothing with us, however at Leeds he seems to have built a very strong outfit - possibly more to do with the squad already there.
I'm not one for kicking Powell totally out - but I'm not sure how long he can remain in sole charge of the squad and selection etc......he offers something to the team...he just needs someone with experience to guide him for the remainder of the season at least - can then evaluate things in the next off season (I know we've only just begun 2012!)
How long is his contract with us for at present?
If I hear him mention "we're improving" I'll go mad.....we're not the only team improving each week....that needs to be told to him ASAP. The excuse will not wash.
I still think a heart to heart team meeting and some uncomfortable truths need to come out this week in order to move forward....the team, management and supporters need to all be giving 100% effort and more than anything, the team need to be willing to put their bodies fully on the line for the club and eachother.
We can't have flappy defence....at SL level it just isn't good enough.

| Bad as politics with "bandwagons" I am quite certain that David Hughes well knows we have a serious problem, give him some credit you don't have the monies he has invested in London RL without being successful, but no one can just wave a magic wand & produce someone quickly either to work with Rob or replace him.
How many real candidates are there around? and more important how many want to live in London?

Spot on - I would rather support a team full of youthful exuberance with a youthful coach and take a pragmatic view on results rather than these so call 'experienced' under acheivers, pre season hype far from being matched by on field carry on, well carry on up the kyber perhaps. As with everything London RL, its never that simple as results surely influence crowds and sponsorship and profile and so on and so on.
Add to Callaghan, Witt and Howell, Rinaldi (ideally taken off quota and Hickey brought in) and Bailey and add to the additions Ben Bolger.

way too idealistic. As I posed to another poster, its all well and good saying X should be dropped, but we have nobody to step in and fill the gaps. Unless someone is hiding something, we have seen the best our Under 20's have to offer and realistically only Sarge, Olsi and possibly Dixon are up to it at the moment. That isn't to say the likes of Caro, Thomas etc won't step up, but we would get absolutely murdered if we were forced into playing any more young lads and personally I would take even less satisfaction from that happening compared to what is happening now.
Funny how everyone was going on pre season about how strong the team looks on paper, yet the same people are writing it off and calling for senior players to be dropped. the idea of dropping Randall is the most bonkers considering he is our only recognised hooker. I'm not massively keen on him but quite simply there are no alternatives.

True, but you have to question the capability of a coach who let this situation transpire.

I think it is the nature of the performances that are more concerning than the results. This weekend has to be the last chance saloon and contingency plans should be in place.

| Agree with Listy.
On the subject of dropping Bailey, why would we drop the player that makes most carries, metres and tackles for us? Agree penalties are a problem but surely he will sort that out.
Re Olsi, it was unfortunate that he copped a bit of stick last Friday. If my stats are correct, he didn't miss one tackle, make an error or give away 1 penalty in that game (neither did Jason Golden).
Mind you, I don't know how long he played for (was holding my head in hands staring at the floor for the most part). and of course, I missed the first 20 mins trying to get in the friggin ground!
