Admittedly I only saw the first 40 of friday night's game, but I wasn't scared by what I saw. After Brent Webb went off, Leeds starting running around like headless chickens, looking panicked, trying to offload spectacularly every second tackle. The ball went to ground, both forwards and backwards, so many times I lost count. In other words, they looked just like we did for 3/4 of last season under Brian "we didn't do alot wrong, apart from complete 27% of our sets" McDermott.
Its just that Hull were worse. Jones-Bishop just gets better though - quality player.

I thought it strange that he went of so quickly- Then I watched the highlights on SSN and noticed he was at “fault” for one of there tries by not hitting the player close to the line (I think it was the one under the sticks-Flowers)-I can only assume that’s why he was taken off.
You would imagine Pryce will take his place in the team next week.

I'm sure it was Danny Ward that missed that tackle

He did - but only after Bryan fell off the tackle.
Decisive coaching to whip Bryan straight off.

| Having now watched all the tries prog, yep chubby could have made a better effort with the first sammut try, second one was Ocal should have taken him, the flowers try, yep lamont should have hit high as wardy took the legs
Interesting on one web site the result was a surprise and the Welsh lot were favorites

| Clubby went up and in when he should have marked the area where he was which would have closed Sammutt down.
Due to Clubby going in O'C became exposed

| When you look at the trys on TV, it looks like Clubby throws Sammutt over the try line in his attempt to tackle him.

| Quote: brian2 "Think criticism of Howell unfair. He had a poor game by his standards, but he nade the decisive break for the winning try, and he is a consistent try scorer.
Thought bailey at stand-off looked good, Cad at 7 still doesnt feel right ]
Howell hasn't been his old self for a while on attack, but maybe his crucial contribution is in defence. It was Howell who defused the short kick-off and Howell who came out of nowhere to stifle a dangerous attack on the wing. Those were the incidents that jumped out at me so likely there were more.
I didn't spot this at the match but the TV highlights show that it was Bailey's cut-out pass that made the space for Howell to run into for the Dorn try - a real stand-off's effort.
Is the future - Gayle and Bailey in the halves and Chad back at dummy half now he's regained his effectiveness there?

| It would seem to me that both Howell and Clubb look somewhat frustrated by the way they are playing. It could just be a case of trying to hard, or trying things that don't work. If we could get these two sorted then we can go place.
