Hi Dave,
As a newcomer to this forum, you'll have to forgive for not immediately understanding what promted you to respond to this posing in such an aggressive way.
Help me understand what value it adds to this forum to have you accusing someone of being "pathetic"?
If I had a concern, it's that you seem compelled to respond to every email that really upset you, rather than letting some of them gently pass by.
I offer this as a constructive suggestion.
Regards,
Alan

Yes, the seats are a little uncomfortable and cramped but its a tidy ground, close to the pitch and now has the benefit of having the Westfield Centre nearby so the Wife & Daughter could go for a shop while Father & Son watch there team at QPR.
'"
Loftus Road is a fecking awful ground, "a little uncomfortable" is understating it, the seats could have been used for amputating legs during the Crimean War. They used to have seats that faced onto the adjoining stand too! The transport links are far worse than Twickenham, and as an area it's not particularly nice.

How dare you insult Mecca! Only we are allowed to do this.
In all the time I've been going, I've never seen seats facing the adjoining stand!. The ground is so square that some in the corners are the wrong side of the fence that separates the stands, but I doubt we would ever have to use them. The transport links are worse than Twickenham only if you live in Twickenham. The area's not the greatest, but nothing's happened to me in 40 years going, nor to my car while I've been in the ground. Tip- park south of the Goldhawk Road. Loads of places to eat and drink before and after a game. There's no leg-room, but are you there to watch a game, or spread out and relax?
By the way, I'm happy where we are...

I like you do not agree with much of what was said but surely the purpose of this forum is a place where people can come and share their opinions without being subjected to personal abuse simply because they hold a different view
If the fans cannot have their view without abuse if it does not tow the party line then this forum is rendered useless
Disagree with somebodys opinion but do they really have to be described as pathetic?
Everyone is entitled to an oponion even if perish the thought it differs from yours.'"
Well said, Chris. I completely agree with you.

Good point.
I do apologise for my earlier support of rupe1's original posting.
I think I must have mis-read this original posting as a plea to get some former fans enthusiastic about supporting the Quins again (which seems like a good idea).
On re-reading it, though, I confess I don't agree with sentiments expressed.
I'll be more careful in reading messages before I post in future.

| Rupe is infamous on this forum. If it has his name on it they the default setting is "disagree"!!
No one seems to know who he is although Darth Chris has a T shirt proclaiming to be Rupe 1

Thanks for this reassurance.
Who is Darth Chris by the way?
Should I know him?

| I've met Rupe. He flew all the way to Australia in 97 to see London's games there in the World Club Challenge.
It's slightly amusing to see some miserable gıts on here pontificating about his negativity.

Completely agree.
Doesn't anyone else remember that when QPR were in the Premiership (granted, you'd have to be quite old...) and they sold out Loftus Road, they actually printed tickets marked "DIABOLICAL VIEW" for certain areas of the ground?
The lack of leg room all over the stadium is ridiculous - you can't jump out of your seat in excitement (granted our matches at present produce little excitement) without grating your knees against the seat in front.
The stewards at Loftus Road also come armed with shoe horns, to prize everyone out of their seat at the end, so that they can go home.

| I must admit I find myself in a similar position to rupe1, I have been following the club since the Chiswick era and have not been to a game at the Stoop for the last 2 seasons. The main reasons for this are :-
1 Lack of ambition at the club
2 Lack of intensity on the field at time
3 The dismissal of any opinions on this website which the "clique" do not agree with, I once posted a sarcastic thread about I.L. after he dumped us for Wigan and was rounded upon on here, and told by the clique that the club did not need supporters like me, so I obliged.
I thought the Quins tie up would be great for us and was a great supporter of it. I was one of the few that went to watch our first game against the Catalans at St Eteve. To be honest the organisation at tthat game was a joke, no programs, no publicity etc. But just look how far they have progressed while we have stood still or even gone backwards

I remember that thread. It was your first post as scimitars and a few people thought that you'd registered for the explicit purpose of having a dig.
I was one of those who accused you of trolling. Reason I did that was that I thought that "scimitars" was yet another identity adopted by a guy who was repeatedly negative and who kept trying to hide his identity (completely unsuccessfully as far as I was concerned) by periodic changes of name. Now I can see that I was wrong so I'll apologise for the error. Re-reading your dig at I.L. now, I can see that actually it's pretty good.
