| Quote: The Penguin "Saw this news last night and felt absolutely nothing. Which would have been unthinkable maybe two years ago.
The chronic mismanagement of the club over the past few years has almost completely sucked out any enthusiasm I had for following the team on the pitch.
Even if we have a good season next year - I struggle to see how we come back from this and establish ourselves as a competetive Super League team. How many new or relapsed fans are the club going to be able to attract without top level footy to watch? without the likes of Wigan and Leeds visiting in a season. It is hard to picture.
From 8,000 fans turning up at the Stoop for Round 1, 2006 - to this. It's a sorry sorry tale and a collective failure of almost criminal proportions.'"
Spot on Pingu.

| You would have to look very hard to find a club that has not been mismanaged at one time or another. Thing probably feel very low at the moment, but the club need your support now more than ever. All owners are simply looking after the club for a period of time, supporters should remain and see out a number of owners while doing so. Its a shame that owners have the ability to damage the whole structure of a club and send it crashing.
Please don't let go to your club

| Lampyboy, agree with you totally, it is not the end of the world, we still have a full time Profesional Rugby League team in London, we will be playing a different opposition, but adversity in sport shows the mettle of the fans.
As I said in another thread, I remember the year when my life long team got promoted from div 2 to div 1 they had this little team as runners up in div 2, think they are still called Wigan.
Simple choice, watch rugby league or dont!

| I think we all agree that the club needs to be run on a professional and sustainable basis and that a long-term plan needs to be followed.
However, like m1234 I'm just not understanding the notion that Championship rugby league is the end of the world. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the grand old names of the sport play the Broncos in 2015. I wouldn't be fussed if we spent 10 years in the Championship so long as the team was competitive and business wasn't run as a basket case.
I just wish the club would come out with some firm and positive plans for next year. Relegation seems to have kicked off a bout of worst case scenario and speccies are filling in the gaps in what we know with doom and gloom. This is understandable but ultimately destablising.

I have to agree with this, I have been braced for the Championship in 2015 from the start of this season. Surely only the maddest of optimists ( or Hollywood script writers!) would have thought we could avoid the drop? It might have been nice to get a win or two but I have found myself this season not having any expectation from the team and being surprised when we have played well, albeit in patches and earlier in the season.
Knowing that we are down I agree the sooner the club can get it's plans out for next season the better. Joe G is in place, Henderson has signed up which could be a great move for us at Championship level. If we can confirm we are staying at the Hive and not have all the nonsense we had last year after leaving the Stoop to play ?? . Sure it's not great being relegated this early in the year but did anyone else expect any different? Is it really going to be the end of the world? It's now all about getting things in place and having a decent pre-season to have a crack at 2015, maybe we can realistically be competitive if we get in some good signings? God knows it would be nice to have a decent season, can't remember us having had one of them for a while!

| Good information coming out of the club will be vital. If they do have a plan let the fans know .Structure, recruitment and organisation at the top of the list, and all the help they can get from the fans.
I honestly think its a new start and one tha tcan provide the club with the stability it needs.
The best of luck and hope you can bounce back.

| I hope I will be seeing a stronger London team in the very near future. I also hope the club can settle and attract some reasonable gates. I work in the south and have often wondered the best location and how to attract more fans. It seems to have been a major problem over the last few years.

| As someone who stopped attending games in mid 2013, I wouldn't see being out of Super League as a barrier to coming back. What I am looking for, like lots of others it seems, is a reasonably well organised club, a team which shows enthusiasm on the pitch, and a feeling that the club knows the speccies actually exist. I watched various identities at Fulham, Crystal Palace, Barnet and so on, and went to most away games too. From a purely personal point of view a decent Championship team is fine. How that affects broader development remains to be seen, in my view.

| Good luck for the future , sometimes it is necessary to take a step backwards in order to move forwards.
If the grass roots down there can be maintained, then there will be no shortage of talent coming through that system which should be the backbone of the club for years to come.
Your supporters are an absolute credit to the sport, true supporters who have followed through thin and thinner! And always loud and proud.
All the best.

| If Broncos are strong in the Championship then I believe that is more likely to attract fans than seeing them battered in SL. When i first came on here I was told Broncos would be dead in 6 months and that the Barnet chairman would have nothing to do with them if they got relegated, I didn't believe it then and I believe it less so now.
I'm upbeat that Broncos can be competitive in Championship and progress at the Hive with the stadium growing with them. I have enjoyed some of the Rugby I saw when Broncos made a game of it, but as a sport, a one sided Rugby league game is a poor spectacle imo and unlikely to persuade casual goers to come back. I have no prior baggage of the 'good old days' and that makes it easier for me to just see things as they are now rather than what has been lost and I'm sure that helps me to be more positive than those who are bitter about how things have gone.
I think the new structure will suit Broncos as well. They will still get TV coverage, they will have a chance to compete for top four and if successful they will finish the season with competitive games against stronger opposition. Bring it on!!

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| All the panellists on Super League Backchat were surprisingly positive about us on Tuesday night, although they reckoned it'd take a couple of years for us to get back into the big time. Perhaps there's life in the old dog yet.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

Agree about the panellists but that *rsehole Studd can't disguise his glee at us dropping out of SL.
Wish I could stop myself watching "Cackchat"....it only winds me up!
