Alright, I'll accept we could easily have taken a much worse battering against Warrington, but let's face it they started so powerfully they were never going to sustain that for eighty minutes.

It would be equally plausible to say we could have got a much closer scoreline against Wigan, but for the referee's remarkable capacity to disallow our tries whilst ignoring clear infringements on Wigan's in the first half. (I was too far away to see ours clearly so I'll have to accept he may have got those right, but their first two should have been chalked off for offside and a knock on respectively - not controversial, it wasn't even debatable looking along the line from about twelve rows back behind the typically inert touch judge - and if you weren't going to disallow the third one for crossing then frankly I wouldn't expect to ever see any try disallowed for crossing.)

i think the promotion and relegation you can end up in the same situation with 2 or 3 rounds to go, you know who is going down already!
But you look at the last few seasons where it was relegation I think it went to the last game to find out who was going down so yes it made a difference.
However, what I was saying was the announcement of the licence for the next 3 years before the normal season is over was a bad idea. What have crusaders players got to play for!? bottom spot and then cease to exist, why even turn up for a game. Had it not been crusaders, say it was us or wakey that had lost the licence, the season is finished why bother fulffillign rest of fixures!!

From watching the highlights....it seems that we just work in slow motion. There are clearly more issues...as we've leaked far too many points this year...but I'd say in general our play is just too slow. We have no urgency at the ptb...we just haven't seemed to work out that all the other teams in SL are playing quicker and quicker.

Serious lack of communication in defence and very little go forward..although I think that has something to do with the pace issue.

main difference between a winning and losing team is the play the ball speed, where the player ends in the tackle plays a big part, we do not have the technique to get the blokes on there back, and generally they finish the tackle on there knees and can regain there feet quick, whereas we always end up turtled and taking an age allowing the defense to set

I would have thought the lack of go forward has more to do with a lack of big forwards than pace.

Ambler must be the worst prop in SL followed closely by Ward

Just got back very poor effort consisting of 1 man rugby. No idea, no passion and apart from a couple of players who walked over to our corner, no recognition of the fans. Time for a mass clear out and for the last few games give some of the young un's a go,

I think one leads to the other. If you get battered in the pack you tire quicker, and can't sustain the necessary level of pace to attack effectively.
