Ritchie, this all started months ago from Sarginson! long before we got in the current crisis over finding a ground. I wish Dan the best, but I'm unconvinced how Wigan will use him.
Clubb still seems to hanging on a move to St Helens, he is just not being mentioned currently, when it first came up Saints fans were not impressed.

| Quote markrammond="markrammond"If you look at Sam Tomkins, who came through at Wigan on debut here, he was a skinny kid with a bit of talent and one that looked capable of being really very good. With great support from the Wigan club to help him enhance his physique and conditioning, he has maximized his full potential.
When you looked at Sarginson in his early games away at Salford and Gateshead he too was a skinny kid with a bit of talent and looked very capable of being a top player, especially given the dearth of quality backs and half backs in English Rugby League.
However Sarginson looks physically almost the same as when I first saw him. Two years ago he looked like a 17 year old boy with his pencil thin wrists and at least a stone underweight. Today he looks the same. This is not what you need to play regularly in a collision oriented sport.
I think if he spends 2-3 years at Wigan on the weights and playing parks football at Swinton or somewhere similar then he could be a regular first teamer in the future. But I'm not bothered whether he is successful or not really. I used to think he was a really decent kid. Now I just think of him as someone happy to spend many years in our development squad to purely benefit himself. He turned down a 4 year deal with us last year, well before the main problems aside from Powell of course.
Louie and Tony Clubb have spent enough years here to be well regarded even after they leave but those who were fringe first teamers who left for more money have all been bitten on the booty so far.'"
I don't think so, defence in RL is as much mental as physical. I don't like Tomkins but he's a tough, determined b*gger. I don't think Sarginson will be able to become mentally tough enough for a top SL club just by doing a few weights and having some training sessions with Paul Deacon.

Correct. Laughable to compare the two players.

| I wonder if Rea thinks Bishay is ready for the No 7 shirt next season or will be bringing some 2nd grade in from Oz?

| Didn't Kafusi not sign a three year contract in August 2011? how many transfer fees I wonder have we ever received.
Or is it like in the days, I was involved with the amateur youth game, professional clubs were supposed to give the junior club £50, when they signed young players, we used to have to fight for that small amount! and many were never paid.

| I wonder how many of our players have joined the Salford Revolution... Tommy looks like he's gone and I wonder if they have also snared AK?
