| Quote: Paddock Punter "As I said I had a very nice time at the Chargers and will also have good times at the Brutus, but thank you all for your concern.
I would be interested to know and I think Dally is one, for how many people was that their first game since Brentford. They wouldn't go to the Stoop, did they get this much flack?'"
So true Paddock Punter

I was also impressed by the efforts of your young team, they kept going for the full 80 and they'll only get better with experience. I hope that they can give you a few wins this year after your awful off-season.
Must give a mention to the staff at Moranos by Canons Park tube, they were most welcoming to the Salford fans in there.
I sincerely hope that we'll be back next year although in all honesty I very much doubt it. Always enjoy chatting with London fans and yesterday was no different; all the very best.'"
I didn't think Salford were that poor - I'm sure you'll avoid relegation this year

| I didn't get to the game as I'm in Derby this weekend, but it's a great result as far as I'm concerned, a massive improvement from the Widnes game and against a better opponent.

Where do you get this "against a better opponent" from!? Who knows what the season will hold but at this stage you'd have to think Widnes are far better than Salford. Certainly what Salford produced yesterday was not good.

Anyone who criticised the move to the Stoop and the H********s tie up got plenty of stick, take it from me!

To the person who said Noble swore a lot - did you report him to a steward?
Surely that's what people are encouraged to do these days?'"
Dally - Unfortunately it was the stewards who told us we had to move to accommodate the Salford coaching team. As to BN's language - I couldn't hear him so didn't give a f**k.
A friend mentioned this episode to TK, who said that was totally 'disrespectful'! I intend to sort this out tomorrow!

Brian Noble and his staff were top blokes. Would rather have sat with Scotquin and SR but mistakes happen. Seven complimentary home shirts would go some way to heal the trauma......

So you seriously think Widnes have a better squad than Salford?

Talking of Widnes don't have any psychopaths in their squad as far as I'm aware.
So they're better in that respect.

| Quote: Smooth Stu "We could only get to our seats via a door through the bar. This door was guarded by security, and no alcohol was allowed through the door.
It's very similar to the Stoop, just a lot smaller. Do you think the bar and toilets in the West Stand could cope with three thousand fans?'"
We asked the steward in the Amber Lounge if we could take our beer in a plastic glass to the West Stand, he said yes. When we got to the turnstile another steward told us we couldn't take it in with us and asked us to drink up. Already dropped an e-mail to the commercial manager at the Hive, hopefully they'll come up with a consistent policy and get all the staff on-message.
Overall I liked the ground. Good view, good food, good beer.
I'm as p*ssed off as anyone else with what's gone down these past few years, but I'm prepared to give the Hive a go.

| Also, I had a quick chat with the commercial manager after the game. He said it was a completely different atmosphere to the football, when the bar would be empty after the game (we were still going strong 2 hours afterwards).
Also spoke to some newbies who commented on how fast the game was, and how much they enjoyed it.
Rugby League made a good impression on the Hive staff and the Barnet fans. Surely we can all celebrate that.
