| I'm looking forward to next season already (for obvious reasons).
A few beers before the game, easy to get the the stadium, 80 minutes of Professional Rugby League (hopefully watching a stronger side playing entertaining stuff), a beer after, home. This formula seems to work well for most other sides.
Imagine the hellish experience I have to go through when watching Leeds every so often. I often have to QUEUE to get into the South Stand. If its busy, which it often is, I am often forced into one of the blocks towards either end of the stand. I stand there for 80 minutes, the toilets are a disgrace, the bar is unpleasant and expensive. After the match the facilities are diabolical - I can sit in the Supporters Club and queue up for an hour for a beer and a stand up in a cramped unpleasant environment. I can then retreat to one of the Greene King pubs in the vicinity of the ground.
But hey, Leeds are going alright crowdwise aren't they? I don't hear there supporters tearing up their season tickets.

No, because they watch a quality exciting side every other week whereas Harlequins provide barely super league quality players dishing out the most boring rugby league in the country, that doesn't matter though does it with your masturbatory self congratulating support putting you head and shoulders over anyone who doesn't like the product.

| Quote: wire-quin "Im confused-What customer service are we to expect when attending a rugby game
I have a seat in a modern stand/ground
I have access to a comfortable bar/toilets
My season ticket turns up before the season starts
The turnstiles are manned with no queueing
I have access to stewards should I have a problem
Get yourself to the Jungle and see what they get.
Having spent many a season on the terraces at Wilderspool I can tell you I feel spoilt at the Stoop.
My belief is because we have access to the players and chairman etc some may feel they own the club ie like shareholders. Go to Wigan, Warrington, Hull etc and you get a pint under the stand in the corridor, go to your seat/terrace, watch the game, then leave. No access to anything(unless you pay corporate), no interaction with players/club staff - nothing'"
Some people seem to want everything and more.

| Cool gus and gals.
You carry on being delighted that the 300 visiting fans enjoy themselves and enjoy getting top level rugby for £100 a year with a few beers and a natter with friends. That's what the game is all about. It's why I got hooked on it, but alas, professional curiosity also kicked in as to why more people don't come to games and it has been a bit of a hobby for a few years now. But I always enjoy game day and will miss a lot of the friends I have made over the years.
For the record, I have never slagged off the Stoop. I actually like it! What I have said is that in my opinion the club has been badly managed in the past and there appears to be no visable signs of improvement. Again, I would love to be proven wrong, but I think you will have a hard time finding evidence of anything ground breaking in the back office......
Maybe 2010 is the year of the Quin? I really hope so.

Same with many of the grounds we've played at.
Mind I did prefer the old west stand, a tad more exclusive

| Concentrating on the contents of yesterday’s letter from the club for the benefit of anyone who didn’t receive it:
They’ve effectively removed one of the existing price bands (the Premier), reduced Gold tickets by 10% and left the remaining two price bands (Club & Jester) pretty much as they are at £175 & £99 respectively. The Gold seats will now cover all of the centre block AE, not just the back section as at present. The Club seats (renamed Silver) will cover the blocks either side, AE & AF. These two bands will have reserved seating. The remaining six blocks in the East Stand will be £99 unreserved seating, renamed Bronze. The majority of away supporters will be accommodated in the North Stand “for most games”. Cheapest tickets for seniors/students are £49 and £25 for Under 16’s.
I still find it strange that there’s such a wide difference between highest and lowest price to sit in the same stand. This year I bought a Gold ST as I thought I’d treat myself to the best seat in the house on the halfway line and prioritise Quins when there were clashes with the other sports I watch (the Salford game was the first home game I’ve missed this year, and I’ve missed five away), but on the whole I’ve enjoyed this season less than previous seasons, with the massacre of Warrington when they were at rock bottom the only home game that really sticks in the memory and the win at Headingley also standing out. So, now I can sit in an unreserved Bronze seat two blocks away near the thirty metre line for little more than one third of the price I’ll probably go for that instead and attend fewer matches as I won’t feel I’m wasting money if I miss four or five. Furthermore, by getting there at a sensible time I can sit with the friends who come along occasionally without them having to worry being saddled with a rubbish seat in a stand close to capacity.

| The club (and every other Super League club) have got to look at the example set by Huddersfield Giants.
* Season Tickets that are incredibly cheap because I'm sure if you offered Quins RU fans a Season Ticket at QRL for £50 (just an example) then there would be a few who would buy one for a Rugby fix while the RU season is dead.
* Or as St Mary's Uni is QRL's main sponsor for 2009 (not sure about 2010) then there must be a deal put in place for them. There must be some Northern lads/lasses in exile while they study at Twickenham or better London so why not offer them a ST for £50?
* Or as all registered London Rugby League juniors get in for nowt why not move there matchday so they can actually get to a game???
* Aussies need to be targeted again - after the Manly game. Why can't the club put posters in Australian themed boozers across the capital? Or whack in a double page colour advert in TNT magazine offering Aussies the chance to get a Season Ticket for £50-80 when they quote a reference code from the double page advert?
* A Referall scheme. For example if Joe Bloggs signs up for a ST and says his mate Frodo Baggins, who is a current ST holder, referred him then Joe gets in for 10% less and Frodo gets 20% off?

I like a lot of what you have said..........but the bit above would cost over £20k+...... so would be a non-starter.

mate, you could get a page in the FT for 20 grand, they'd probably give a DPS in TNT for a packet of wotsits and two lemon sherberts

| FWIW, barring unforeseen circumstances, I'm in for a ST next year. I may even treat myself to an upgrade from the £49 steal I had this year. Picked that because there was a high risk of only being to attend a very small number of games but I've actually managed about 75%. Even saw a home win.
Personally would much prefer to be in the West stand for reasons already argued over interminably on here but will not reopen said can of worms. However, the value for money on offer is excellent. (My travel costs this season have been something like 5 times the cost of the ST so FGW trains is making much more money out of me than Harlequins RL is.)
Let's just get a team that performs season-long. Over to you Messrs. Hughes and McDermott.

That's what I thought.......but No! When the Manly game was being pushed the page rates quoted were farcical for a 45k circ free sheet.
As it was, a CPA deal was done....so everyone was happy.....by everyone I mean TNT and the RFL......Quins had SFA to do with it
13 opportunities to sell advertising to a NEW client would give most space jockeys a stiffy......it just seems the art of negotiation is another missing ingredient at TW2
