| Quote: rosetintedspecs "Powell sitting picking his nose, scratching his head and looking the clueless thing he is has made up our minds of avoiding the game next week. We will not spend around 8 hours on the road and a fortune on transport to watch this shower of muppets doing absolutely nothing. It has now become where either the towel is thrown out or the club are going to end up without even hard core fans. A disgraceful performance is an understatement and I dont know how much longer I can carry on watching ineptitude like this it makes me sick to the stomach. I think I have to stop putting myself through this hell and just accept DH does not have any bottle, RP does not have a clue and the LB should no longer exist - on performances like this every week we do not deserve a place in SL. On paper a good team and with a new coach maybe could still be a good team, with Powell we will stillbe in the same palce at the end of the season, boring, usless and inadequate'"
Next season we will have an aussie coach who hopefully will add some quality and we will not believe how bad we were this season. Now brace yourselves for the long grind to avoid the wooden spoon.

| I won't be bothering again this season. The whole half hearted approach from everyone from the top down to the playing squad. No wonder attendances are woeful.

| I'm not going to Gillingham - too far, too expensive and I can't get motivated to watch it - the people around me at Leyton Orient put me off (super pessimistic and cynical flat cappers, plus one guy with his son who behaved like they were stereotypical football fans), and I have better things to be doing with my time.
If the coach was cheaper and didn't set off almost 4 hours before the match started I'd have considered it.

| I was all up for the long journey across to Gillingham, but after that performance, not a chance.
I have travelled to away games in the past, but that was to watch a team that tried, they may have failed, but at least they tried. That cannot be said of those playing today... farcical!

| If Powell gets sacked this week I'll go to Gillingham. Otherwise, no chance.

I'm still going to go because I don't want to see Super League disappear in London, but right now I don't feel like I'm going to make effort to take people with me, to spend money at the club on merchandise etc or to participate.
And it's only my first season, but between the way it appears to be run and the general negativity (maybe justified) amongst supporters in the crowd (bloomin' flat cappers!) I'm seriously turned off.

The saddest thing is that the club don't appear to give a damn about the fans..... If I still lived in London I would probably go, but then again, If I still lived in London I'd probably be barred from games

Good post bro and I salute you. I must admit, its quite embarrassing reading the posts of our so called supporters who are all throwing hissy fits as we are having a rough season. You lot should be bloody ashamed of yourselves and in no way should you ever class yourselves as Rugby League supporters or supporters of London Broncos.
I am happy to accuse some people of having their head in the sand but at least they are positive in the future. Instead all I see is morons wanting to return their season tickets and knee jerking to the point where we should fold. Humiliating.

Define a "rough season"?
On the pitch played all the other teams.....beaten Wakey and Castleford.....lost 11 other games. Those losses have seen 69 tries conceded. The Players look (apparently) bereft of ideas in attack and clueless in defence...the coach is out of his depth.
Off the pitch, the efforts to date would seem to be worse than any attempted in previous years....shirts late arriving, no sponsors, lowest average attendance in the history of the superleague in London, asking for advice on facebook .....the list goes on.
As I say, I would probably still drag my to games if I still lived in London........but not for much longer if they keep on messing everything up

| Does anyone know why the Chairman retains a coach who is incapable of coaching a a team to anywhere near its maximum potential?
The team has not won an away game in 14 months, and the team defence is leaking at a huge rate. Some of the young London players do not know how to tackle. The failure of the coach is obvious even to a blind man. David Hughes has paid a lot of money to recruit some high quality players (e.g Gower, Robertson, Kaufusi), but he has not recruited a competent coach. So given the fact that the coach has been seen for more than a year to be incapable of doing his job, why does the Chairman retain him?
I cannot comprehend this situation.

| I read an interesting article about Steve Kean the Blackburn football manager yesterday discussing why the owners keep him on as head coach when its clear he is out of his depth. They have just been relegated and have had protests at the ground for a significant part of the season.
The conclusion of the piece seemed to focus on Kean being a yes man and "their man" (the one they installed against all odds)
DH has had a numerous opportunities to get rid ie post the Reds game, Bulls game, in fact most games.
I cant work out why DH hangs on to Powell- it will take ages to turn the club culture around when he is gone- to many of the players will be used to losing

21 Losses 77.5%
804 for
1,390 againts
minus 586

Average position 12th
Same stats for Mac 2007-2010
108 games
