Don't you mean Peacock rules? He got off with a terrible (and illegal) tackle on a Catalans player just before the international with France (since he was England captain). The player was stretchered off. Anyone else would have had to serve a ban for that. There was no injury at all to Stosic and he was due to play for Wakey at the weekend, which I assume he did since I haven't heard any hysteria from that direction lately.

I think you will find that Stosic had a fractured eye socket.

Sky Sports reported him as in the playing squad despite a fractured eye socket on Sunday morning.

To be fair, he went for a scan on the Saturday and was given the all clear, nothing wrong with him, which was only released by the Wakefield site after the verdict on Cunningham had been given, which could have been construed as deliberately misleading the disciplinary. After a word in the ear, Wakey said that Stosic did actually have a 'slight' fracture. Read into that what you may.
As for the slam, I thought the incident was definately worthy of a penalty during the match, but I would have to watch it again to decide on whether a ban is warranted. Certainly looked quite a nasty tackle/ technique, not malicious however, just wrong technique.

Not so PP, go to the next page......there were two charges against Clubb, the one for a tackle on Eastmond still stands. Given he has had 2 issues in one match and how the RFL normally treat Quins, he will be lucky to get off with a warning...........but you will be pleased to know that Cunningham got off with a warning for his high shot on Temata (so everything in RFL land is fine and dandy).

| Quote: Ski "it was literally slap bang in front of me.
One of those things that was more "reckless" than intentional. Looking to put the player down hard, but had his grip in the wrong place and essentially dropped Arnold while having him in a sleeper hold.
Should be nothing more than a telling off and warning regarding future conduct.'"
Well, if it was reckless rather than intentional....it should receive the same sanction as Kieron Cunningham fracturing a players cheek bone with "an accidental push".....therefore Clubb should get a warning letter.
Won't happen though!!!

Realised that a bit later - don't hold your breath for good news from Red Hall this evening.

| I noticed Cunningham wasn't put up for his 'lazy arm' tackle in the first half.
Anyone else remember what i'm talking about?
Where he seems to run in, swings the arm to tackle the man, if that wasn't intent I don't know what is.

This incident?
Those type of tackles happen week in week out, in both the amateur leagues and pro rugby. First contact is with ball, and the force of contact promotes the arm up into the face of the opposition player. Penalty sufficient, it's not intentional, it's the laws of physics and force, if you'd ever played the sport you'd know that they happen. Certainly worthy of a penalty but nothing more.

No.
Not that incident.
Seeing how it wasn't even picked up by the officals(surprise, surprise), it couldn't of been this incident.
