Coming from a neutral that reads all the teams threads, even I wish you'd slope off into the sunset. Absolute prick, and everything that a RL fan shouldn't be. If you make me want to stop reading the Bronco's threads, how many of your own fans are you putting off? Thank god for your self imposed exile, as you could only be a cancer within the club if you turned up!
Much respect to all the genuine fans here that manage to ignore this cretin and get to enjoy your favourite sport. Most of my happiest times as a Hull fan was at a period of our lowest crowds, in the 2nd division when we was run by a crook.

How many clubs don't really have a problem with finance? Oldham moving 4 miles out of the Borough of Oldham?

| Quote: jaybs "See you never responded to my Huddersfield attendance problems, remember it was only a short while since they were top of Super League, they survive with a chairman who has pumped in a lot of personal money, and this is the birth place of the sport, take away Leeds, wonder how many clubs attendances pay the bills? Wigan, Hull, Warrington, they may be all close. Look at Championship clubs, how many pay their way from attendances.'"
This isn't unique to RL, it's the same in any professional sport.
How many football clubs operate at a profit? Or RU clubs? Or cricket counties?
In every sport a very few have a genuine operating profit, all the others rely on top up funding from central sources, wealthy owners, or both.

| If you only get one day off a week and choose to use that day watching the worst full time pro team in the comp, then that is the choice if the person doing that, cowgirl your comment that they are being short changed is an assumption that you know someone else's thoughts and opinions.
End of.

True to an extent I suppose.
But seriously how much on pitch enjoyment can be derived from the last few dismal seasons?
Jamie Soward's whistle stop tour was the last thing to get excited about.

It does make me laugh that I'm supposedly beyond the pale when my detractors get away with murder.
Or is it libel?

Then again I wouldn't even wish him on Salford.

| Maybe being the first team to beat Leigh in a long time, maybe the single win in the season against Leeds all be it a weak Leeds, maybe any other of the wins last season, maybe watching some of the kids getting a run out. What is enjoyable to you is not necessarily enjoyable to others.
Maybe being one of the fans that don't give up when the going gets tough.
Maybe wearing the shirt of the club you support at places like the GF or magic and the banter it brings.
Honest answer, I watched some bloody good rugby last year, yep some rubbish, so no I was not short changed.

So on average one good(ish) game a season then.

| You really don't get what being a supporter is about do you? Pretty convenient you chose to ignore everything else in the post though.
Question for you, who on here has actually said everything is roses in the broncos camp? We all know the situation is not good, do you actually think we all want them to be at Ealing?
I will say it again, the reality is non of us are in a position to change anything apart from watch them play or don't watch em play, second option for some of us us no go as it means we don't get to watch our team play rl.
You have made your choice which is to walk away, fine that's your choice hope you enjoy.

I don't disagree with you, but RL is a very minority sport at professional level, I really thought after the good start at Fulham we would have another second and third club that would even assist in developing the sport in the Capital, but even though I have no doubts every effort has been put in, it just has not worked, if clubs struggle in the North what chance does London really have with such a wide number of sports clubs and as you say even some top football clubs struggling, if Ever Sky pulled and demanded major cuts in funding I would fear for sport, when Sky first committed the rugby league the most of the extra finance then went to players, not on grounds and development.
But I will Never turn my back on the sport I was born and brought up with, but it does not stop me being worried about it's real future.

I've come to the conclusion that any sport that isn't football is up against it in London.
Take a look at rugby union. They were established in the capital for over a hundred years, and seven clubs went professional in 1995. What happened to those seven?
London Scottish & Richmond: went bust
London Welsh, London Irish, Wasps: play miles from the capital
Saracens: spent 15 years playing outside the capital
Harlequins: the only one of the seven to stay in London and build a fan base
And that after 100 years of establishing themselves.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not excusing the mis-management at the Broncos in recent times, but you do have to wonder if we were always peeing in the wind a bit.
