Quote Pinkerton="Pinkerton"I don't see how you expect us to take so many, we have no local games and all our trips are over 3 hrs long. Not to mention expensive to travel so much. The people who criticize our support are the ones who don't travel to London themselves. As I said, if it's so bad then why don't you do what Wigan do and increase the home support?
Anyway, home support is far more important to need increasing atm, than our away support.'"
nah our away support is dreadful (the peeps that go are great- just that theres only a couple of them)
and is truly embarrassing to SL. Ive said before if our fans went to just one home game a season we'd bring around 200-300 a game.
We dont
Its the same 50 week in week out that do the away trips.
Yes they are all long trips and yes many are on a friday night, which both add to the diffiuculty in building an away support culture.
but the sad fact is almost all our fans choose to miss half our games cuz they dont feel the journey is worth watching us.
again, im not saying people should go to every away game, - time, cost, distance, getting back at 3,30am on a friday night and having to take a day of work to get to the games, but that still leaves a whole host of fixtures (like Hull KR on monday) that people can get a train there and back - only £20 cheers paddock - where there will still be the same old faces in the away stands.
A fair few people on here go to as near as all the away games but the vast majority of our fans dont go to any which, just goes to the argument that we have the worst supporters in the league.
