| Quote: BroncOnIon "I enjoyed the BCB commentary. Not very professional in some respects but very enthusiastic and enjoyable even without the laughs at the errors. Enjoyed it last year too. Didn't realise they were volunteers, so good for them. Didn't catch their names. Do you know them?'"
I'm not sure who does the main commentary, I only listen for Bradford non-sky away games, but the chap who makes Stevo sounds like Stephen Fry is a bloke called Mark Hobson - he's the overblown fella who probably made reference to playing like under-8's at some point. He also talks too quickly and rambles on while the game carries on without knowing what's happening. Fair play for turning up week after week for nowt, but that doesn't make them immune to criticism.

| Oh and Scott Moore's blunder was the funniest thing I've seen at a game for a while.
For those not aware; London attacking the Coral Stand end, Moore with a grubber in centre field from around 40m out which bounces over Kearney who'd slipped, Moore regathers 20m out and is heading for the line with only Kear coming across to try get near, Moore slips 5m from the open line near the posts and Kear comes across and makes the tackle.
Scott Moore poked and probed well while he was on, although late in the game he did turn into a Michael McIlorum wannabe with late shots and frustrated afters in the tackle.

You've stated we (as in Broncos) wont win a game all season. That is you bar.

alas, not mine alone, but yes, I did say at the start of the season we would not win a game and I currently stand by that. Bradford were there for the taking. Some of their other "star" performers would have been tapped up this week and they will to a man be concerned about the wages run in 25 days time after the RFL covered the February wages via the administrator. Losing, regardless of how "unlucky" we were or if we need "more time to gel" is still losing and as I have said elsewhere, I can only hope that we start well against Wire next week, because if they get a roll on AND Wakey get a result against the French, then OUR best chance of a win gets smaller.

I've toyed with the idea of a thread regarding the mini-relegation league, but steered away, because currently, HKR and Catalan are filling the spots I though Cas and Widnes would be in. That said, it is my belief that in ascending order Bradford, Wakefield, Widnes, Castleford, HKR and Catalan offer us the best chances of points this season and 4 of the POTENTIAL 24 have already gone begging. Bradford could well pull off a win this week against FC and leave us at the foot of the table 4 weeks in AFTER they had 6 points docked With those points back, they'd be sitting 5th BTW.....
I don't knock your faith or enthusiasm BTW, but the only way we will avoid relegation this year is if more teams go tits up and get points docked or go into liquidation.

I have to "be there" to know we are relegation favourites? As for negativity, you find a positive in 3 losses from 3 games, 2 against relegation rivals, with 43 as the average shipped per game and then come back to me.
.....the top 4 this year will include saints/Wigan/Leeds/wire/hudds....what those teams will do to us scares me.
As for my/the post you refer to as negative drivel....how so?
Bradford are a club in turmoil with their best stars being picked off, their wages being paid centrally and if no buyer can be found soon, they will liquidate. Not sure of your version of positivity, but staying up at the expense of a club going to the wall is hardly a "champagne" moment. Did you get the Bollinger out last year when Salford fielded 14 men to keep us off the bottom?
Wakey play the French next week.....I've said that the Wildcats might win and I also assert that the French will come right this year at some stage...not negativity, just reality!
Relegation IS BETWEEN 3 CLUBS.......deny it all you like, but of the 3, we are by far the weakest.
I am sick of being painted as the bad guy here....this club is ed and it is ed because it has been badly managed. People DON'T turn up because we are on the park and at promoting ourselves, not because I post a dose of realism on an internet forum.
Seriously, to so called fans like PC Plum, Tre Cool and Dotti......FUCK OFF AND PUT ME ON IGNORE. The more times you try to put "positive spin" on the flavoured bollox being served up at the club the more I will respond....we are ed even if we manage a win. Go to games, cheer the team on, but for christ's sake, stop posting like Moonies or lemmings.,......you make it sound like WE WILL GET A WIN is positive
Oh...stop annoying the moderators as well, because I am not breaking the AUP, you can all stop posting and the site won't fall over and in reality, they agree with me.

The fact you thought Cas and Widnes would be in the releagation zone shows how little you know about the game. London, Bradford, KR and Wakey are easily the worst teams in the league.

| KR were being talked up pre season. I dont think people realised the importance of Dobson to KR.
Its us, Wakey and Bradford. We need to start making progress and quick before losing becomes the norm.
Aren't all our players here as of today?

Gutterfax, you have slipped into a parallel universe, where failure is celebrated more than success, mediocrity over quality, and chaos over order. Stop trying to fight it. ....your only hope is escape.

Happiness is like peeing in your pants. Everyone else can see it but only you can feel the warmth!: |
|
| From the commentary I heard, better! Really want to see these disallowed tries, but feeling like we are turning a corner. But it still frightens the life out of me what a top 4 team will do to us.
Look, our season starts now and we still have our star player to return from injury. We need to start bring our systems together, and I am glad you are enjoyed the quality of our 'reserve grade' players. Drinkwater and farrar are going to rock super league.

| Lets hope Catalans start playing like last season when Wakey visit next weekend. After playing Wire (and an unlikely win) the team will have had more game time together so hopefully be capable of beating Wakey which is critical for us. We have got to find ways of scoring tries now. Wakey scored 4 tries at Wigan even though they lost!?

| From TR
"It was an outrageously gutsy performance, given where we are at. Plenty of teams would have got beaten by 50 out there today. We had no subs left, lost three outside backs and had four injuries during the first half, so it was a big ask and a huge challenge in adversity. It was great to still be in it at the back end of the game and at one point I thought we were going to get the job done."

| London were the better team throughout the first half against Bradford and pressed the Bulls back in their 40 metre area for long stages forcing them to repeatedly kick wind-assisted long punts which were well fielded by the back three of Mataitonga, O'Callaghan and Duckworth.
The only clean break made in the first 20 minutes was when Bradford raced clear past O'Callaghan, who then offloaded to Gale and it was a travesty that we were behind with Mataitonga pulling up injured rubbing salt in the wound. Farrar who switched to fullback played very well afterwards.
However with four forwards on the bench, we lacked any like-for-like replacement at halfback and things got worse when Caton-Brown was carried off with concussion plus Duckworth went off with a Hamstring pull, for we then had three backs injured for the rest of the game, as well as Captain Cook who also went off with concussion so we had four out in the first half.
We were already celebrating on the terraces when Scott Moore's kick through evaded the fullback and he regathered to race unopposed to the line but it is believe he showboated and slipped inches from the line with Danny Addy somehow getting his hand under the ball to prevent a 12-12 halftime score.
It was worth noting that Bradford gained about five consecutive sets prior to their second try.
In the second half we began to look less physically dominant as our five Props tired with no replacements available and a bit of a lack of cohesion but we battled manfully, with Bradford's third try being a forward running in from only a couple of metres out following a knock-on within our 20.
When Cunningham took the ball from a bounce off Kearney and went over to make it 18-12 it was even more frustrating that Moore had missed.
Only in the last 5 minutes was the game decided with Gale's drop goal and a try with 3 or 4 minutes left giving Bradford an undeserved flattering margin in a game that was close throughout until the 77th minute.
A huge improvement again on last week with many more metres made, a more expansive game, solid tackling and very robust performance with the debutants looked really very good.
So far we have not scored more than three tries in a game, and I would suggest that in the main the tries we have got have been more to do with individual opportunism versus a line-breaking pass with a run-in, so we could do with focusing upon building combinations in the next week or so.
Bradford have played already their two weakest opponents in us and Wakefield and they aren't going to see either again till the second half of the season, so I would suggest they will struggle to get to zero points, as I can't see them causing a great deal of damage to anyone given where they are.
There is a great deal of frustration from the home support who appeared to moronically shout for penalties, forward passes and everything else for the entire game; I do not see them being supportive should they go behind that is for sure.
Whilst Wakefield look a bit stronger than Bradford but they have lost to them and will be desperate for points but again I don't see them getting too many given their 5 best players from last season have all gone.
The Wakefield home game looks absolutely massive for us now, I genuinely believe a win will take us above the bottom two and I can see us beating them, that is for sure.
I would estimate we could stay up with only about eight wins from the remaining twenty four, especially if we win the proverbial "four pointers" against these two and I see no reason we can't take a good share of points from the three Catalans game plus Cas, Hull KR and the home games against Widnes and Hull FC.
