Gotnofax only one person offered you up a bet, maybe he should have called it a wager, between 2 people but it's quite obvious you are not willing to take part or stand by your words. That's fine, just say so.
Nobody suggested going into a bookies.

He dint offer me a bet. He hounded me for an unfair bet.......given I simply conveyed my opinion and didn't say " I bet the three pro teams will win all their games against the other 9" his offer and subsequent hounding have done little other than point to him having a gambling problem. Others have chipped in......as I say, its a bit early for panto season.

Good god man, the bloke posted one suggestion that he would offer up a wager of £50 for charity that your predictions would be wrong, not sure if you noticed but it was you that started on about odds how is that hounding you. Quite obvious you have no faith in what you were suggesting it's ok.
