Btw, Josh Walters is contracted to Leeds for 2018 so I'm assuming a fee would be involved if he is the new signing.

Sad to say I dont know a huge amount about the Academy boys, but what I do know is they are young and inexperienced and we play in a league where experience and being around the block count for a lot. Pointer and Purtell replacements, fine, but for all the underwhelming performances the replacements for the Offerdahl and Roqica need to have been around and know the front row. I read Walters was off contract, would not lose any sleep if he isn't coming. Its the Judas / Barthau conundrum that worries me.

If the rumour about our new signing is true, maybe we are giving it a go!!!!!

Any, being serious, good news is he is a centre. Not sure if he is actually any good (not digging him out, genuine question). Still alot if work to do with the squad though(prop, hooker, half back).

Well, Fleming did score Leigh's opening try against us in the Q8's and he looks like he's got a good side-step (similar to Api) so a good replacement for Purtell in my view if he doesn't become homesick.

Agree with above, a prop, half back and back up hooker needed to get us back to where we started last season!

We needed a centre to replace Purcell in the squad. Some respects it's an extra player we didn't have for most of last year. Hopefully he turns out to be a good one. Lets face it this deal was probably done before Ackers and Barthau decided to go.

Yes we need to replace them now and that elusive Neanderthal is still required.

When we were at Toulouse, we were told that we had a Super League player signed for 2018, I assume that it was Fleming that they were talking about.

Wellington Albert is a PNG prop 6'4'' and close to 18 stone...he had a spell in the NSW cup before returning to PNG to play with the Hunters......I'd look at this caliber of player to get us into contention in 2018.....I am sure he'd relish a season in the SL shop window!
