| People are forgetting that Hughes and Mackay carried out an exhaustive 2 year microscopic search for a new home from Gillingham to Orient and back.....before the RFL bribed......sorry paid a marketing stipend to the Hive at the 11th hour to ensure they got 2014 sorted.
Hughes has had enough, the majority of fans have left, the rfl don't care and in general, we are reaping the rewards of dire and in my opinion almost criminal neglect of one key area of business...... Wire-quin will tell you what that is

| Kingstonian have already said the believe the way forward for them if Wimbledon do sell up is to leave Kingsmeadow.
It should be said Kingstonian did not sell the ground. An owner put the ground into another company and then sold the lease to Wimbledon. The 200% website carried an exhaustive feature on it as one of their writers is a well known K's fan.

1. Actually, the estate is on the eastern side of the tracks, the ground is on the western side....,
2. RL has its roots in council estates and working class areas......or have you not been north of late
3. Everywhere in london is within a Driver and a wedge of a dodgy estate......even Twickenham had one, as did Brentford.
4. Remoteness? And you say you're not part of a clique?

Yet again, twisting and mis-representing my words to suit your own agenda.

AFC Wimbledon are hoping to move back to Plough Lane which means they will want to sell Kingsmedow I doubt if K's have the money to buy the stadium back as they sold to AFC because they had financial problems.
I do not think Kingsmedow could be developed into a 5000 seat stadium let alone 10,000 there is not much land around the pitch.'"
I thought Plough Lane had houses built on it?

| Plough Lane does have houses on it. That development is next door.
I can confirm that I have seen this with my own eyes having lived around the corner for 2 years not long ago.

Correct...but the Plough Lane Stadium they are looking to redevelop doesn't......it's the dog track at Plough Lane.

Ummm, you jumped on Perry's post, claiming he was wrong, when in fact he was completely correct.
Plough Lane Stadium closed in the 90's and now has houses on it. Fact. The Wimbledon Stadium isn't Plough Lane Stadium. It isn't particularly complicated.
HTH.

Indeed it isn't difficult, well not for a reasonably intelligent person to google Wimbledon returning to plough lane and to discover that Wimbledon are indeed looking to return to plough lane.....they even say they are 'coming home"
rlhttps://www.redevelopingploughlane.co.uk/afc_wimbledon_s_returnrl
My mirth had little to do with the fact that there were indeed houses on the old site, but more to do with Perry, being "local", as opposed to 12,000 miles away and unqualified to make any comments on the advances made at the Broncos.....and yet not knowing that the planned redevelopment was of the dog stadium and surrounding area.
HTH!

| Years of travelling to games. Never thought I'd need to bring my own seat with me, at least my fold up chair has a slot for a can. Next stop the pitches on Clapham Common? Whether the nature of the squad for next year makes me feel any different, but at this point underwhelmed if this happens and more likely to leave it to others.

Apparently the are closing the dog track and developing the area for the AFC stadium, housing and shops.

Enough already again - back to ignore/foe status.
I'd appreciate it if folk who have to debate with him use a minimal amount of quoting.
Thanks.

I use the word "worst" and you change it to "council" to infer some sort of snobbery on my part.
I talk about it being in west London, and you talk about it being on the east side of the tracks, to infer some sort of gegraphical ignorance, despite the two facts being completely unrelated.
It's very subtle and insidious how you twist a person's words to suit your own agenda. But you are twisting them.
Quote: Perry "So...to recapNo I did not, as explained above.
Quote: Perry "I point out that both Brentford and Twickenham were similar whilst reminding you of the roots of the game of RL not being put down in leafy suburbs......'" More sly inference, you won't find anything in my words suggesting that RL started in leafy suburbs.
Quote: Perry "How exactly is this twisting or mis-representing your words?'" See the above.
