| There a two claims that our northern cousins hold on to:
1. London Broncos have received a load of help from the RFL; and
2. The RFL couldn't organise a proverbial drink up in a brewery.
I suppose it could explain our current plight.

| The myth also includes Catalans getting lots of assistance from the RFL as well.
If we're both getting all this amazing help and funding, why are we not up in the playoff spots at least?

| Quote: The Penguin "Bugger that. If the idea is we are dropping down to re-build, it needs to happen now. If we're going to release a load of our high earners and play largely with kids next year, there is absolutely no point doing it in SL. Give the kids a chance and drop down, to give them the best chance of bedding in and building a viable championship side for SL re-entry - if that is what the club is thinking'"
I agree. I'm a northerner exiled to Woking due to my job. It amazes me how many amature teams there are playing RL in and around the capital. Kids and the amature sport is the way to go here. Lets get people who want to play for London and not just for a pay day boost like most of the signings you guys have made.(Wigan In The CC SF)
Then I think people in London will sit up and take note as they can relate to the guys on the pitch.

We are doing that. Havnt you seen how many of our young players like Dixon have had games? Unfortunately when you play too many, as we've had to do me get smashed as they are not physically fully developed yet - hence our points against total. Two more seasons and that will probably change but most of us know we will not get another one season never mind two.

Spectators will not watch any team getting smashed at home on a regular basis regardless of their being local lads. We have to be competitive and that means getting quality players from Up North or from Down Under. As you are living down here you must have cottoned on as to why they wont move down here for the same money as they can get Up North!?

More tangential than anything else. But down south ultimately you need a top flight (and it needs to be strong) presence for everyone to aspire to. Otherwise the game will fade in and out as it has for the past 100 years.
Tomorrow I look forward to a really positive statement. Probably from people I'm meeting up with rather than the club but hey ho..

| Nah.
You just need to look at the game in the midlands, the south west and the north east. Not a SL club in sight but still there are amateur clubs being created.
Ultimately grassroots expansion depends mostly on having development officers in place.

| No news at all. announced 8 players leaving us and all well publicised.
Confirmed Sarginson leaving. And i can remember another six - Soward, Melling, Bryant, Howell, Randall and Dorn.
Announced that some big decisions would be made in next few weeks. Tony Rea made that comment. No sign of Gus or David Hughes.
And for next year:
Location - unknown
Squad - unknown
Season tickets - unknown
Normal seasons end really.

And for next year
add Bailey and Lee to that list. Very telling that GM and DH did not address the crowd today. I would prepare for the worst!

They didn't mention Lee was leaving? I know it was rumoured, but I heard nothing of it today.
And from what i could tell DH wasn't even there today, he wasn't seen at all up where he usually sits. GM was there as usual though.

| This is disgraceful, but not unexpected. What a way to treat supporters! Not a word of information about the future, despite the constant speculation as to what is going on. The management of this club is a scandal.
I have found enjoyment in watching amateur RL which contrasts vividly with the miserable experience of being a follower of the Broncos. Unleoss there is a change of management I wouldn't bother with this crap. I came away from the Chargers amateur games this afternoon full of joy at the whole experience, a complete contrast with the misery caused by the Broncos.
