| Quote: The Chronicler of Chiswic "Fair enough. I'm begining to wonder if the RFL has had a basinful of us and would be more than happy to wave bye-bye. I know that I tend (sic) to bang on a bit about the Crusaders, but when I see a Championship 1 side get in over 400 for a pre-season friendly with an amateur team and the supporters in their new replica tops buzzing with enthusiasm for the season to come and then contemplate the disaster that we are I couldn't in my heart of hearts critise the RFL if they did give us the boot!'"
I think the allocation of no group RLWC games to a london ground speaks volumes of the RFL's attitude to the capital.......
NZ v PNG & Australia v Ireland would all have come close to filling the Stoop IMHO and I doubt either will get 15,000 where they are scheduled to be played now.

IIRC the RFL wanted 'host towns' to provide certain things like marketing and community events for the games they've been allocated. I don't think Boris / GLA / Councils / Stadia bid for any games to be held in London.

It would be disapointing to say the least if the broncos and the rfl hadn't pushed the local council for help to put on a rlwc game

| Bottom of the league, currently 15% down on fan numbers and seemingly heading for oblivion.....the next 2 games may well change all that....here's to optimism

| I'd love to know why we are in this position. We've blamed and fixed what the issues were supposed to be: early start to pre season, good results in warm up matches, experienced coach, players familiar with each other etc. So something has gone clearly wrong, and I would love to know what it is. Could it possibly be the wrong mindset in the first game, when it was all there for them to hit the ground running? Could they be thinking if we can't beat Widnes who can we beat? If so, it's an extraordinary lack of mental toughness and resilience.
Widnes and Wakefield were both beaten by last year's poorly motivated team, so why the difference in attitude now?
Both Salford and HKR are very weak defensively, but please don't let our players believe they are going to be easy games.

| No team is easy for us hence why we are bottom.
Widnes, Wakey both at home, a weak Wigan team hardly the toughest of starts.

We did not solve the centre problem and with Howell injured it is even worst. Dorn seems to be out of favour, which does not bode well. Just like under RP, when we go behind that is the game gone. Why? good question.

| We are the strongest team in the league - are we not supporting everyone else?
Or is it we are at the bottom looking up whistfully (or should that be wishfully for the fans)

| "But how many of you knew that the Broncos Under 19's team won in Wigan last Saturday?
Yes, lads who have only been playing the game for a few years travelled up by coach and beat the best young players in a rugby league stronghold. That has to mean something."
Totally agree..........but no mention of it on the Clubs website!!

Our website really is awful when it comes to content, didn't we employ a new guy to update it amongst other media things?
No U19's report, no post-match reaction, no words from Rea when he picks the 19 man squad about why (insert name) has been dropped etc.

We did and he is doing a splendid job IMO.......the wigan U19's resultishis first error to date but we are seing an increase in exposure...the story about Ady Spencer may wellhave been down to his work as media relations guy.......
