| Disappointing match & evening! we never really looked like scoring, also back to giving away far too many silly penalties. Second half we made Saints look good! It was the first time their crowd came to life, atmosphere so flat at times, people constantly going in and out for drinks and food!

| A long expensive day. Nilled is not a good look given our last 3 (OK 2 1/2) performances.

| I don't understand what happened to your team. They looked very much like ours: disjointed in attack, playing one up rugby, a bit of panic here and there. That was a shame as I was really looking forward to a good contest given what I've seen of London on the TV lately.
To be honest, the only difference between the two teams was in defence: we were better than you. Our tries were not examples of fantastic rugby or anything. We didn't take you apart in spite of the scoreline. You simply didn't defend your line with the energy I have seen from you in recent times. We (or rather, certain of our players) did defend pretty well and so with you being slightly off balance in attack we were able to keep you out but score ourselves. Had your defence been better, we would have scored a third of what we did score, if that.
The match was not helped by Silverdud who blew the pea out of his whistle. His performance was dire.
Incidentally, you have a gem in Dixon. He was your MoM by a mile tonight.

| The big surprise for me was that you lacked ideas in attack, especially for a team that scored 62 vs Warrington last week. Our defence was solid enough, Gower tried everything but for some reason it wouldn't happen for you tonight. Dixon is a livewire though, never gave up. Star in the making if ever I saw one.

| How many Gower's are there?
The man who played against Warrington was not the same bloke on the pitch tonight.
If he was not fit, as his form tonight suggested, Rea should not have picked him. My Grannie would have had a better kicking game (apart from the one he took early which had to be retaken), and his slow short passess continue to frustrate me.
Kieran did play well, and Omari as usual was ignored, he has to move on to achieve his potential (IMO).

| Wasn't at the game tonight but at this stage in the season, lacklustre performances neither surprise nor bother me.
Gower has slogged his guts out all season for little reward so surely he can be forgiven for a poor performance. Comparing him to your grannie is simplistic and juvenile IMO, the bloke has given it his all all season long. You complain about his slow short passes but the only reason these are slow is because the majority of our team are miles behind. He is one of our only creative players who attacks the line but finds little support. I have no doubt Rea will adjust things for next year however and we will reap the rewards of Gower's attacking play.
Pleased to read about Dixons continued efforts however, here is hoping he has some affinity towards the club!

Riverside red(HKR fan I believe), my understanding is that you will see more of him in "Humberside" from next year. Keep us updated on his progress

| Omari showed his inexperience yet again by not knocking the ball dead when he should have done in the 2nd half, the blunder resulting in a Saints try. I assume he thought someone else was going to do it. Similar I suppose to the forward pass against Wire, and that punished by a try. No communication between the players.
I'm still trying to figure Wellens 60th minute try. I was convinced the ball hadn't touched the line and was play on until the linesman (the red haired bloke - Messer George?) came on and the try awarded. However it was a game we were never going to win after the first 5 minutes of play. Roll on the Hull KR game...

| Completely agree with Listy.
Even if you wanted to give Gower a break, there isn't anyone to replace him. Do remember, RR, we have 8 senior players unavailable and probably Sargi not 100% either.
On subject of injuries, Gower is one tough dude. When you think he had the knee recon pre-season and yet turns out every week. Shame we didn't get him a couple of years earlier.
Back on topic, not at all surprised about the result really. I know TR won't make any excuses but when you compare the personnel of both teams, we would have needed a miracle to win that game. How many internationals (or ex) in that Saints team...8? And we had 8 Londoners of whom 4 have made their SL debut this season. (there were more Southerners than Scousers on the pitch last night)
TBH, i think it could have been a lot worse when you see some of the thrashings Sts have dished out on other clubs. Just a shame we couldn't have scored a try, as this is the first time we have been nilled this season.
Anyhoo, expect us to do a bit better next week and hopefully, we may have one or two players back.

There are a number calling for Oscar Thomas to get a run out. Never seen him play but if Gower needed a rest then its a pity we didnt take the opportunity. This is what Saints, Wigan etc do, especially when theres little at stake. No one expects us to beat Saints but its important we try to finish our season at home with a win so we cant play him against HKR.

| Well, I have faith in TR's judgement and I think if you'd have chucked in another debutant into that game, things could have got really ugly.
If we'd conceded 80 points last night, would have been an even stiffer task next week, imo. We do need to keep a little bit of momentum going if we can.

| i really should not post tired!!
Gower did not play badly last night! The team generally were half a second off in timing, no-one to take any of Gowers offloads! what we did do was set up by Gower, kicking was not the best but a lot of that is pressure from the defence.
Dixon was the shining light on the night. Agree Caro showed his inexperience a couple of times but he is still a kid
resting Gower why? he runs the team out on the pitch, the only try we had was a cclassic poachers try for Dorn but that half a second timing out and ruled forward
As for the try from Wellens on the 60th min, it was the TJ AND the IG that indicated a grounding of the ball, I was sat in line but near the back of the stand did n ot look like it was grounded, but the two that did see the grounding were both less than 10mtrs away so hey ho, be interesting to see it on telly on sunday night tho
