| Quote: daftdad "Anybody remember a few years ago when I think it was salford fans all turned up in holiday gear in protest at their team's effort and the belief the players had put their feet up? Maybe something could be done this weekend for on the road and we party regardless of what happens on the pitch. Fancy dress with towell's for turbans, beach towells and balls.'"
Seem to remember a banner reading something like 'we're on our holidays- you've been on one since February!'

| I think the club has made absolutely clear it will tolerate virtually anything that this poorly coached, unfocused, unmotivated, disorganised team will put together. Any sensible chairman and chief executive would have acted decisively and dismissed Powell - the symbol for all that is wrong with London rugby league - in the immediate aftermath of the defeat at Widnes.
If David Hughes has got fed up of it and wants to get out, why did he sanction such spending on big name players in the off season? Why go to all the trouble of a re-brand and get Mackay to dribble on about it being a new era, a great step forward? The decision-making just makes no sense and hasn't done for some time.
Enjoy it while it lasts, ladies and gentlemen, because a Super League team in London is not long for this world.

| Quote: Tre Cool "I'm not going to give up on the club, just look at the man city fans today if you want proof things can change dramatically. But I ain't gonna drive 70 miles each way to Gillingham this weekend to watch a Powell coached side. No chance.'"
I agree with you TC. For the rest of this season we may as well accept the fact that we can just concentrate on gelling the players together and trying to blood some of the youngsters - Rob Thomas anyone!
Next season we will have a new coach and undoubtably a few players to sort our defensive shortcomings out. Its a pity that this is not like soccer used to be when you could sign someone in the season to correct your mistakes in signings - but we cant coz of the salary cap.
When you write the team down on a sheet it looks good. We have some quality players and we should be doing much better even though some players are underperforming and some of the youngsters clearly are not yet ready for full time SL or at worst we are playing too many.
Either way Im sure we are not far short of a good team but it will have to wait until next season. A new coach would probably start the healing process but its gonna be difficult this season.
Anyway I expect to be at Gillingham and a few more games this season hopefully. Having watched as much crap as i have over the years another few months is neither here nor there before another season and another 'newish team' takes the pitch.

The rest of the season for many will involve the visits to the Stoop of Warrington, Leeds, Wigan, HKA, Salford and Widnes........with the exception of maybe Widnes, can you put your hand on your heart and declare we will get another 2 points from these games?

You assume that the club will exist next year. Given they are tracking at about 60k less in gate receipts than last year, together with the reduction in resuidual spending, the club may well have to tighten its belt to survive. That's if David Hughes doesn't just walk away, which not many people would blame him for if he did.
If they do exist next year.....how many fans will bother rolling up? less ST Holders, of that you can be assured.

Simply put, the coach is the reason for the crap being dished up on the park.....

| I will be witnessing my first ever live game on Sunday having got hooked on RL on Sky over the last few years. I used to watch it as a kid on Saturday afternoons with Eddie Waring commentating and always enjoyed it then even though it was a very different game then ( more like wrestling matches).
I did have a ticket for the Catalan game but couldn't make it through illness but my two sons went and thoroughly enjoyed the evening despite the result.
I normally watch Burgess Hill Town trying to play football. It was a dismal season with the players totally lacking in confidence while the losses kept mounting. Eventually a new manager was appointed and managed to get two wins out of the team from the final two games to avoid relegation. It was an all too familiar sight to me on Sunday watching the Broncos players capitulate so easily and surely it is essential to get someone in to change the losing mentality.
It would be just typical of my luck if the Broncos did fold after finally getting around to going to games.

| Have fun @ the game! The Broncos are an absolute horror show but live RL is fantastic & @ the very least you can appreciate Hull's play while they carve us up.
Stick with it & when we're world champs you can rightfully claim you're no glory hunter!

RL Rules...... ever since I went to my first Broncos game back in 2002 I have always wanted the best for the club and the game in the Capital......it just appears that the club no longer share my wishes.

Hmm....maybe you're right. IRB Agents go undercover of working in cricket, move on from there under the guise of redundancy and get themselves employed in League to destroy it...perfect cover

| Another loss against Hull, and we face Widnes' visit to The Stoop. Should Widnes defeat us, then I think the time has come for us to let the club know after the game just what a true shambles Towel et al have turned us into.

| I just wonder if there is some sort of agenda going on here. I have never been happy with the explanations offered as to why David nearly folded the club just before the last licence round. Apparently it was the culmination of 6 months of negotiation. When I asked about this at a fans forum I was told it was entirely due to Wigan not releasing Josh Charnley to us, how fatuous!
David knows the game inside out and knows the limitations even better than we do. I just wonder if last season and this is a deliberate attempt to force the RFL to actively support rugby league in London in a manner never seen before and stop paying lip service to expansion and stop relying entirely on David's generosity. Whether this has been scuppered by the departure of Richard Lewis, who can tell. I do know that we have just 2 more years of David's money and the RFL better start finding some solutions quick.
