| Why didn't we move the ball and attack Marting and Sharp. We know one is getting on and one very poor in defence plus they will have a 6 or 7 stood with them. I didn't see Howell of O'C have one run all game- 2 props and we went up the middle against a team that had an Aus Int prop on the bench!! Bizarre
Last night was woefully inadequate- Its Hudds next then 2 winnable games- Decision month for Powell.
If I was Hughes I would be on a Qantas flight today

| Quote: The Penguin "What a truly listless, ineffectual display. Given that we played miles better in Round 1, it is pushing it to blame this on the old 'new team, still gelling' chestnut. That we only decided to give it a go once the opposition were down to 12 men says it all. We didn't seem to want it.
Performance littered with careless errors. Being off-side from a kick off - criminal. Juggling a routine goal-line drop out -criminal. Constantly going high in the tackle and often missing them altogether - criminal. Luke Dorn has clearly decided 2012 is going to be his 'David Howell' campaign.
What can a player like Craig Gower do with so little help? When we're hardly completing sets in the opposition half? It is maddening. It is insulting. Most of all I feel sorry for Tony Clubb and Kirk Dixon, who ran their socks off, tackled fiercely, ran tenaciously. They were genuinely impressive - Clubb continues to look a different player in the pack. Dixon looks unfazed to be thrown in at this level so early. Unfortunately he was so comprehensively let down by those around him.'"
Spot on Penguin
And I had the same thoughts about Powell just sitting there looking like little boy lost, alone with his thoughts. He should have been barking instructions down the mike, he should have been running down the steps and giving instructions from the "dug-out" and not be sat there seemingly pondering on his forthcoming thoughts for the after-match interviews

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| Well another disappointing match to watch, so many basic errors, penalties, but then Silverwood was whistle happy at times. Shocked when I saw the incident with Renaldi on TV this morning and his players congratulated Moa??
Stand by what I said previously I thought the appointment of Powell was a great move and supported it but always felt he should have has someone working with him as Director of Rugby for a year or so!
Currently it makes you feel when is the first win coming, is that a strap line for a PR campaign come to The Stoop and see if we can win? We are not going to draw in new supporters currently nothing to shout out about at all.

it highlights how lame and predictable we've become. We also have no speed from dummy half - Rinaldi was a disaster when he came on, ponderous - and underlines how much we miss Andy Ellis who gave us a genuine attacking edge.
Massive, massive worries after yesterday.

BOOM!
Should have never ever been a red card, was an awesome hit. Your players didn't even react and were even consoling Sam as he got the red. Awful decision.

| Its only when you watch the replays that you see he hit him in the face because it happened so fast. Thats why they didn't protest!

| Rinaldi might have protested, but a massive Tongan thug had knocked him out cold.

Weve gone backwords at Hooker by not making sure we kept Ellis. We offer no threat there now in a pivotal position. Did either of them go through a gap in the whole game?

Even with the replay it is difficult to see the exact point of contact however, 100% certain it's not the face.
The point I can't get over is Sliverstick didn't have the best view, didn't have a replay, didn't have a slowmo zoom cam etc and saw enough for a red card???? not sure about that!!

Agreed - other than Randalls looped pass for Robertsons try, and Rinaldi complaining when he dropped the ball, they offered absolutely nothing, other than predictability. The game play was a short pass from dummy half repeat 5 times and then kick. Ellis would have have at least made the defence think on the odd dash from dummy half.
Out of interest, who would you rate as your top three best performers and top three worst performers - mine
Best - 1 Dixon, 2 Kaufusi, 3 Clubb
Worst - 1 Rodney, 2 Rinaldi, 3 Dorn

| Someone needs to teach our centres how to maintain a deep attacking line. Example, there isn't any point in Dorn looping around behind dummy runners if JOC or Howell have overrun him by 2 yards. Even Clubb could manage it.
