So according to your attitude anyone who makes the effort to go along on a regular basis is doing sweet FA for the club and RL in London in general........and what the club should be saying to any regular who wishes to buy a decent ticket is `hang on, can`t sell you a ticket just yet mate......I need to hold on to them until the last minute when the moaning late comers have dragged their backsides along`

The tickets are £10......£5 if you are a STH........for that you get to see a match against some of the World`s best players, pre/post match entertainment etc........how can anyone moan????

I don`t wear rose tinted glasses, I know we are struggling (jesus I nearly put a bet on that we would lose every game this season), but some of the moaning gits on this board are doing more to deter new Quins fans than any mess up the clubs PR/Sales department might make.

What are you going on about? Where have I said this? You don't understand the point here at all do you? Do you think the purpose of this game is an extra present for regular supporters? I'm glad you treat potential new supporters as "moaning late comers" who "drag their backsides along". That seems to be the club's attitude too. Supporters are welcome to purchase tickets well in advance and that's great, but not when the club offer no half decent alternative for others.

Totally ridiculous. Yes, a few people who look at the bigger picture on a Quins RL forum for Quins RL supporters have a bigger influence on bringing in/detering new supporters than the MARKETING deparment do. Do you really believe this?

I fully understand accept that it would have been good to have all of the stands available and to be offered a wider seating choice., but if you are a late comer why would you be surprised that a seat on the half way line is not available. If you were flying off on holiday, arrived late at the airport and could only get a rubbish seat on the aircraft......would you demand they put on another plane, go home in a strop, swear that you will never go on holiday again, write a letter of complaint to the airline.....no, you would just get on with it.

Regarding the level of negativity on this board.........if you can`t appreciate that it is OTT and a likely turn off for a new fan, then I`m afraid it is you who are wearing the blinkers.

You were the one whinging at the idea that late comers would be treated well in the slightest, and that only supporters who order well in advance should enjoy a decent seat.



What a ridiculous example, but I suppose it shows how you are missing the point. If I walked into the airport and asked for a seat and was given a rubbish one, I would accept it if that was all that was left. If the plane was 2/3 empty and seats were there untaken but I couldn't sit there, I would be fairly upset. I probably wouldn't fly with that airline again either if that is how they treat their passengers. I don't think I need to go on any further as hopefully you grasp the problem now.



I don't see any undue negativity. New supporters are unlikely to vet a forum and make their choices on the basis of what people are saying on here.

But then, if you continue thinking that the club operating in this fashion is good for business, then fine, it'll be the "negative" posters that'll be here in 2 years time telling you "we told you so" as you sit there clueless as to why we didn't get a license as apparently everything right now is sound.

Regarding the example.....good to see that you would accept all that was left......and have grasped the situation.

Regarding my own approach........as previously stated (but you choose to ignore) I can appreciate the club is not in good shape and can moan like anyone else........but I have not turned into a career. I have supported the club this far and if they are still around in a couple of years so will I.

Listy.......you are tell us quite often that the club are making a complete hash of everything, management is poor, improvement is required etc etc........perhaps you could expand on your experience in these areas and let us know what your business credentials are?

Have to pick up on this point, it's a sports forum, same as a million others the world over in every sport conceivable and by the nature of all sports forums [although possibly slightly more jaundiced for RL] polarised opinion will abound dependant upon results, players, coaches, tactics, Boards, facilites, opposition etc etc.

I truly cannot fathom why anybody who was considering being a new fan in any sport and who had searched the Internet to find a forum concerning their newly chosen team, would then abandon watching said team because of what they read on the Forum, contrary or otherwise to their own newly formed opinions..........if that was the case nobody would be watching any SL club this weekend let alone filling the stadiums for PL football.

When I first started to watch the Broncos my interest was increased by using Steve Morris's fantastic original Forum, but trust me that was a far more negative place to be than here [depending on what was happening at any given time with the club] but it didn;t make one iota of difference to my opinion of the sport and the club.

The only place that could suffer as a result of negativity on a sports forum, is that forum itself, but by their very nature and within moderate boundaries, they are and should be places to express all opinions negative or otherwise.

Perhaps you could expand on the things that you disagree with me about and where the club have done a spiffing job.

I'm finishing a business related degree this year with plenty of marketing involved in it, so don't you worry, I'll be putting my hand up when the time comes and could do a damn sight better than the current monkeys running the club

Supporters not liking your posts........ever asked yourself why quite a few long term supporters (who still go to matches) do not bother posting on this forum any longer?

I am not musing about anything.....there is only one (possibly 2) stand/s open, accept the situation......I`ve got a good seat, you haven`t.

I have been a long term supporter, why would I not be bothered by the club going under?.........you can do better than that Listy.

Like you say you are not bothered by other supporters (and I`m the one with wrong attitude?).....take a look back yourself, it should not take long to identify who does not post anymore or a lot less frequently....GOB, DSWG and others

Have read Prince of Denmarks post and already said that it would be good to have more stands open (you really must concentrate)

Maybe The Gob and DSWG have better things to do than post on here? The Gob and I have exchanged text messages lately (apologies I didn't reply last time btw Mike), and last time I saw DSWG at a home game we had a chat. I think you're reading a bit too much into things. I don't think they have any problems with me anyway, nor any other users.

Cheers, degree is going well thanks. I'd like to see someone turn things around, but it won't be the current incumbents. Obviously the fundamental problem lies elsewhere but this is more clear cut, and you never know, maybe there was some evidence last week of this being sorted out.
