| Quote: LU2 "Surely Coleman has to go after this!'"
Iām not going to defend that which canāt be defended but I think Rammo is right itās difficult to see who would get anymore out of this team. To be clear I donāt think there is much more to get out of this squad (and it should be said we havenāt been hit particularly hard by injuries yet). It is to a large extent a L1 squad. In some seasons we might have been alright but a number of teams have strengthened and with the team also being completely new itās taken time to bed in as well.
I also think it would take a bit of time and money to attract an upgrade manager doing that half way though the season with a weak squad and no funds available would limit our choices. Like it or not Coleman has to own this team for the season and we see where we are when we know we are down ( that seems the most likely outcome now). Iām happy for us to have an interim coach for the last few games if that gives the board time to recruit competently. Now is not the time for them to make another Ill considered decision. There have been too many of those recently.
In many ways a delay in clarity about what league we will be in next season will not help us. We are better off knowing at an earlier stage as this board has shown itself very reticent to make decisions until they have certainty. Other teams have not been so reticent and we are where we are because of our slack recruitment and retention.

Yup defence wise Iām not sure about him. Although I prefer him to Juma. Remember him? Is he still in the squad ? Who knows?

Only thing that might keep us up is winning both games v Town + Dewsbury away. Even then I don't think 9 points will be enough, so would have to hope we can beat Barrow at home or possibly even Haven away, but clutching at straws here.'"
Agreed I will just say this I think, neutral/new fans might have got some enjoyment out of the game and might come back.
There was a decent atmosphere and some tryline action. Definitely more than the Widnes and Whitehaven games that we opened the season with. Now itās me clutching at straws.

Their kicking game was really dangerous. Ours:inconsistent but mostly poor.

I was entertaining the thought of going to Batley next week. Our performance tonight has put that idea right out of my head.'"
You should go Victor itās the Paris of the North!
What did you think about Thurman. I could see that he could play a bit but I thought he looked and moved like someone in their late 30s. He was by no means the reason we lost but I just canāt see how a club can lose a top end Championship player and replace him with a retired bottom end L1 player and think things will improve. In many ways pleased I donāt have to go to another LB game for nigh on 2 months.

I saw the tweet. Didn't see them though. Had a look in the pub, but no where obvious. I did ask in the pub last match and they knew nothing.
I would suggest they are missing the obvious selling place though, as you pass through the turnstiles. Gold Lounge is limited. Ticket Office you can't get to once in the ground. Pub is chaotic to find them.
Twice I've been happy to buy them but can't.
For Dewsbury the winning tickets were announced, heard nothing today.

Whilst much easier for me to get to, I feel the same. This was the match I've least enjoyed, because I felt the players didn't turn up. It wasn't the least entertaining, it was that only one team were up for it.

In the pre game warm up it was obvious Newcastle were pumped up for the win, they were 2 gears ahead of us before kick off.
Did anyone see where the teamsheets were being kept/hidden as I couldn't find one although one was posted on the social.

I couldn't find them either. They are given out in hospitality, perhaps they never made themselves down to the lower tier.
I couldn't find the Raffle Tickets; I couldn't find a team on the pitch representing the Broncos either!

| Performance was pretty dismal, it was an odd game though. The first half I think we played only one set in the Newcastle half, and scored. Theme was repeated in second half, if we got in there half it resulted in a score. It was an odd game in that aspect

| In attack, lacking any leadership, this is a poor team but with a leader on the pitch as chisholm showed they can perform.
Defensively missed tackles and poor technique always going to be punished.
Some real basic errors though, blatant ball steal when two in the tackle, bombing a try by trying to improve conversion angle, uncontrolled PTB.
Posives! Not that many penalties given away.

| As for game experience and Fri night! Reckon its the way ahead if they survive, 900+ better than expected, yes probably a lot of free tickets but a lot more kids and family atmosphere than seen on any Sunday. For me travel so much easier fri night compared to a Sunday but I ride, so i don't rely on public transport.
Didn't like the foul language some of regular fans think is acceptable though.

I agree. All season our warm up has seemed lacklustre. I mentioned this before as in previous seasons weāve seemed much more energised. I agree Newcastle were pumped up making a right old racket.
No I didnāt see any team sheets although as they arenāt really team sheets but a slightly cut down list of our wider squad their usefulness is lessened. Our minimalist approach to presence in the ground is baffling. We simply have been transported to someone elseās ground in South London and left to work it out ourselves. One assumes gold lounge is a better experience.
