| Enjoyed the Hive, good atmosphere in the main stand for only 1300 people.
As for the match it was far better than I expected when walking in, particularly when Drinkwater pulled out.
Krasniqi & Cook were superb and the two Leeds lads impressed me too. Wire's 2 tries at the start of the 2nd half were far too easy, that Ormsby must have beat 7 men to score.
I don't understand why we didn't put more high kicks to their blonde winger, he had one and dropped it then had nothing to do all game other than score three walk ins - I hate wingers who are bad but score alot due to their team.
Solomona looked okay on debut, far bigger than I expected

| Absolutely no surprise that the team could only compete for 35 mins. Once a few interchanges were required, we had no big men to rotate. A dreadful bench, managed even more dreadfully. We ended as an absolute rabble.
Good points: Moore and Cunningham are very clever players; MCB is a talent; Solomona looked the part.
Bad points: Some exhausted forwards, esp. McMeeken who is completely out of gas; Farrar's distribution - hopefully it'll pick up!; the lack of threat from the likes of Minns, Atkins, JOC.
Several hundred more away fans there today than vs Salford and a bigger noise from the home fans. Very surprised at just 1377.

| So is fitness the issue, rather than quality? Last years team were pathetically unfit, even for Aussie pensioners, so has anything changed?

Fitness could maybe be improved but we worked very hard for 50 mins. Line speed was good and due to the smaller bodies the "arm wrestle" must take more out of us than them

Yeah.......we have a nice new home and 1,000 less fans with a team that is off the bottom because of a points deduction.....oh, hang in. The last bit is familiar

I felt quality rather than fitness was the issue today. With Cook and Krasniqi in the middle unit, it was competitive. But without them, the Wire PTB got much, much quicker. McMeeken playing too many minutes on the left edge might be considered a fitness issue but I think it more of a case that his game time is being managed very badly. Again, take the two backs off the bench and replace them with Greenwood and Vea (in my hypothetical world) and our forwards might have looked stronger in the second half.

I agree, odd to have a centre in Macani and a utility back in Solomona on the bench. Anyone know anything about Drinkwater's injury? Bad?

It is nice actually.
Get some of the missing fans back and it will be rocking.

| Gutters, you seem to be getting more & more curmudgeonised as the years pass. All you need is to sit in a stand and watch your team play just once year to really understand the peril.

Have to agree. Physically, they were a massive pack. I don't know why we didn't use our agility and pass the ball around to stretch them side to side or even go in low when we were 10 yards from their try line in the 2nd half like Danny Care done for England today

Sorry, but after being told to "change the record" and to be "grateful that we even exist", what we are witnessing (either in person or via the radio/internet) is the total and utter destruction of what was, in 2008, a club with a chance of making professional RL work on the capital.
