| Quote: Snoopy "Considering the money DH stands to lose by continuing on, the idea that he would do so just to put a smile on the face of the RFL is rather vaieve IMO. The poor guy is having to work on past his retirement age to keep this club afloat and despite what people think of his running of the club i doubt many on here would do so and derinately not for the RFL.
Whether we find out now what the long term plan is or not im convinced there has to be one and eventually e will see it. Hopefully it involves IL at Wigan.
Things are very trying for us all at the moment but at least we have a club now. As far as the admin goes didnt we work out that the Barnet FC would cover both clubs to save money?'"
I've never spoken to David Hughes but I know Vitol and I know several people working there. If he's working on past retirement age - which is something I'd question because I know he is a shareholder at Vitol so he's quids in even after retirement, he's still there because he wants to be - then it's not on behalf of London Broncos, the money he loses on this club is loose change out of his bonus.
The second point, isn't that part of the problem? None of us know what's happening at the club at all, we're simply guessing. Four days on from the announcement and we've not heard a thing.

| It's no big surprise there's been no news yet, considering there's no back room staff at all. Who's there that can update facebook, twitter, do media releases? Nobody.
I think the plan is year 1 DH/GM 'run' the club. AK is so impressed with us that year 2 he buys in and takes over long term.
I think we all know what will really happen.

Gus.
Although I can well believe he can't turn a computer on.
Or write.
Or tie his shoe laces etc.

| Yep, I'm going to buy a season ticket.
I'm absolutely sick of all the negative e we get from a significant proportion of supposed RL fans from the north who would love nothing more than to see the Broncos lay down and die. I don't want to see any club die, particularly the one I've been watching since 1980. So this is my small way of saying "stuff you, you myopic, flat-capped morons".
Come on London

We have a club run by buffoons in terminal decline. How is that serving the best long term interests of RL down south ?

BARNET FC average 1,800 fans.......is letting them look after our marketing the master plan to get people interested in Rugby League?

I don't imagine that this would annoy them.
I'm not sure why you would do this. If you enjoy watching rugby then buy a season ticket but do it for positive reasons not because you think it will annoy someone that you will probably never meet.

You need to understand that it is not Barnet FC that runs the marketing and ticketing. It also the case that Barnets attendance is one of the highest in it's league and is for many of it's fans a team playing away from home surrounded by many clubs bigger than itself .
The Hive will run ticketing etc. They have 9 football pitches constantly in use, a 600 member gym, 4 bars, 500 seater conference room, 10 training rooms and a multi million pound sports injury clinic which is one of only 2 of it's type in the country etc. They have hosted international football teams like Brazil and Germany, were the base for the Olympic officials, Uefa champions league final rehearsals. Have been used for several adverts and recently hosted the Womens Super League Cup final with nearly 4000 spectators
The Hive is a 25 million pound complex of which the stadium is a part. They have gained a worldwide reputation for excellent sporting facilities so do not dismiss them as a conference level football club as the complex and the admin that run it is much bigger than that. It is currently ranked in the top 100 training centres in the world.

Outstanding stuff.....but they still only attract 1800 to Bradford games and soccer is the national sport FFS!

He must have caught a dose in Bradford. He's never off RAB and now he's onto City.

| To be honest Bradford isnt a big draw for a football game in London. Yes football is the national sport but what are you trying to prove with that statement?
That Hyde should have brought more than 37 away fans when they visited?
What's Broncos average away attendance in comparison.
That kids in North London should be chosing Barnet in the conference over Arsenal, Spurs, QPR and Watford?
Who are Broncos local rivals for support that they need to compete with?
6000 recently came to see Barnets last game at Underhill compared to 2000 who came to Broncos last game at the Stoop. The point I'm making with this is that Barnet fans did not and still do not want their team playing at the Hive and want to move back asap. Underhill is still our home and yet despite this, if you compare our average attendance with last time we were relegated into the conference in 2001 then it is 25% higher.

Agree! and it is just not the North! remember though they are not the majority of fans.
London Broncos will always remain my first choice RL Club as long as they exist, I will also help Hemel Stags, Greenwich Admirals & Newham whenever I can.

I thought Admirals folded a couple of years ago.

Well I did support them in the past with donations, it is important that London has a feeder system.
