We have one. Look at Welham's tries on "Superleague Supertries".

Strange one for me to. His strength is his speed certainly not his defence (in response to your Welham suggestion). For me I would have liked to have seen a handling centre brought in. The Saints wingers are not that fast but score plenty of tries. We have an inability to get the ball to the wingers at the vital time and therefore it makes you wonder what he will bring to our game- Long range tries are his best bet I suspect.(At times in desperation we have passed the ball to the wingers in our own 20.)

Same here.but lets be honest your not going to find any of them around a club waiting to go on loan, so maybe this next best thing to have a winger with a bit of speed.
Trouble is his defence and it didnt help that last night on Boots n All, a certain Mr Cullen pointed this out,you kind of got the impression that he was trying to be polite and not say hes crap at that side of his game, but at the same time let everyone know hes not very good at it either.
Other thing and this is a bit tounge in cheek ok. We all know as pointed out here hundreds of times that we have a crap kicking game so maybe the team talk will be " right lads go out there i want you to kick on the 4th or 5th tackle, yes i know you cant kick but dont worry aim it for the wing and im sure Mr Penny here can chase it down as hes fast and catch the ball and run it in under the sticks so make that side of kicking easy for you too, ok then go out there and enjoy yourselfs, oh ye before you go dont forget we drop the ball only in the 20 metre line when on attack".
As for Karl T and Howell, im sure on Rammo last night he said they might be back this Sat,but were having late fittest tests before decided on final 19. And Eliis 4 to 6 weeks away (think Penny also said about 6 weeks in his phone chat with Rammo as he sharing a flat with him while down here).
And the ways are going what harm would it do to give Kaye a run out from the Bench and come to think of what about the forgotten man of the props Ben Jones.

I think I recall Karl trained before the KR game, but pulled up still tight - and I think Dave also nearly played, so I'm hoping both will be alright for Saints.

thats rich our defence all over the park was shocking when Cullen was in charge.
Its a rafa fact that having a poor Matt king as his centre put the final nail in Pennys coffin. Before that he was in the Superleague dream team.
King was in truth Shocking, He new it, the fans new and as he said on Sky Eddie and Stevo new it, unfortunatley for Penny James Lowes didnt, he thought it was Penny and took him off during the saints game when he did nothing wrong and he was pretty much never seen again......
Unfortunately on the Wire board one or two retards think if a winger scores a try the opposing winger is to blame and no one else...? and it came to a point whenever a try was scored on Pennys Side of the pitch it had something to do with Pennys 'bad tackling'/ 'bad positioning' according to these well informed individuals...!
he knocked on once like Amos Roberts did for Wigan last month and dropped the ball doing a ridiculouly quick tap (enthusiasm) other than that his handling is as good as any other winger in the league
My advice is simply enjoy a great winger, and a bloke that will give you tries that are worth the entrance money alone. If you want to examine every move he makes in a negative fashion you'd possibly be better off spotting trains or something.

| He will do a good job for you. More established wingers keeping him out of the wires team at the minute, that's the only reason he isn't getting onto the pitch at the HJ.

| Ive always thought the lad was one of the finest prospects in RL and still do. He has made some errors due to his lack of experience but he has an awesome talent in attack which a club like ours could really benefit from if used correctly. Im just not convinced we have the players to give him the opportunities to show what he can do. If Wire let him go Id love us to sign him but I cant see it happening. May as well enjoy the spectacle for a few weeks.

| You might just hear Saints fans sing 'There's only one Kevin Penny' as he gifted us a try at Knowsley Road I think in 2008 having only just been, shall we say, a tad enthusiastic about celebrating his own try. When I say gifted, he passed straight to a Saints player who legged it down the pitch and scored. I felt sorry for Penny, I must admit, but those more merciless among my fellow fans didn't like his, er, enthusiastic celebrations earlier and so made the most of his mistake. And unless Saints are shocking when they get down there or unless Penny's defence has improved significantly, I can't see fans resisting the temptation to remind Penny of his trip to Knowsley Road. Poor lad!

thats correct He knocked on, on his own ten yard line bringing a ball out from his own line gidley picked it up passed to gardner who went ten yards to score in the corner.
