Any chance of some signings/contract news??

But the question still remains - every other club is releasing signings and departures, neatly summarised in League Express each week. Our Contribution to League Express is updating everyone on the Lotto and Wardy repeating himself weekly, how he is frustrated not knowing what funding we have. Well it doesn't appear to be stopping all the other clubs going out and sorting out their playing squad.

As for this exciting news, well I've given up on that.

The only news coming out of the club appears to be a tsunami of departures. Even Steady Eddie Battye seems to be heading for the exit

In all fairness we dont speak to the League Express, they clearly need to write something so go on our social media and report about the lotto which in my opinion is a bizarre thing to do but good luck to them. We have not spoken to any media outlet since March. They dont appear to know how to get in touch with us but they are welcome to rewrite our social media offerings.
I remember when journalists picked up the phone, they now seem to wait for the club media volunteer to send them something. Cutting edge stuff.

Herein lies the problem with The London Broncos. " We do not speak to The League Express". Why not?
For Christs sake, the club is in the entertainment industry, it could do with all the publicity it can get. It should be constantly feeding journalists. Not waiting for them to pick up the phone and ask for something.
The club should know the movers and shakers in the local, national sports and online. Whilst the media is not what it was on all levels. It should be a tool that the club USES to raise its profile.
Do not hide behind. WELL NOBODY ASKED !!!!!

I've asked many times for people to email me with their insight, this is your chance to shine. What would you like us to tell them?

There is nothing to say, zero, zip. We have reporters from the standard and national newspapers contacting us regularly because they are proper journalists who know how it works. I speak on a regular basis to specialist journalists such as Johnny Davidson and Steve Mascord. Why on earth would we want to ring League express to tell them that John Smith in Bermondsey has just renewed his lotto tickets for the next 5 weeks?

I know its boring but would you rather we tell league express we are looking to sign Benji Marshall and Jackson Hastings just to get attention?

Maybe we should write some articles on what the players favourite netflix programme is or how Mitch Allgoods garden is looking?

Give me your ideas, email them if you like, this could be the start of a revolution in our media output.

Is there any planning for next year? This is typically the end of year and clubs talk about ins/outs. Is there anything on that front?

It certainly wasn't meant to be prickly but probably just reaffirms the fact that no matter how much I try and give people straight answers on here it is a minefield for anonymous people to find fault so I will simply cut this line of communication off.

We will communicate purely through the clubs media channels and the supporters club like most other clubs do.

I do not understand it. You joined the supporters group and wanted to be on the committee yet I give you a straight answer as to why we do not spend all day ringing trade papers that have tiny subscriber numbers and ask for your input and you do not want to explain what it is we can communicate to these papers.

So lets imagine I ring League Express tomorrow, what do I tell them given the fact every single reader of that paper knows about us and we do not need promoting to them? What is it we do to use the League Express to promote things? I'm asking a perfectly reasonable question of you as you appear to know more about media than I do.

Would I not be better using my friendship with presenters and producers at Talksport and Talk Radio to get the club promoted when we actually have an event or something worth promoting? Or are you saying League Express whold come first with their army of readers in Hunslet, Keighley and Workington?

As I said, I am thick, I had no idea League Express would be the way to market a London club to the people of London. I had no idea people in London were buying this paper in their droves. I thought the Metro and the Standard would be the way forward but I have got it wrong. I apologise for that.

Why is it one or the other and not both. We should be making the most of all communication channels available and tailoring the message accordingly. While we are unlikely to attract new fans through League Express they are probably short of things to report on at a Championship level. I'm sure there is at least some interest in the Broncos in the heartlands perhaps from fans of other clubs who have enjoyed trips to the capital in the past.

Like others have pointed out, many clubs are announcing signings or 2021 plans. If the Broncos are not making plans then I'm sure people would be interested to know why.

Now could also be a great time for the Broncos to be laying out longer term plans.

I'm more concerned that there is nothing on the website.

Why no Danny interview? Why no player interviews? Why no CEO or Hughes interviews?

I know quite a few peeps who gave up when we left the Stoop but they still look at website & this forum to keep in touch. It might only be a competitive SL Broncos that would get them back but if they get scant news from the club why bother?

Re the exciting news, Im trying to not get carried away. Being the Broncos, I am preparing myself to feel underwhelmed (heres hoping I am wrong). My biggest concern is the squad. One way traffic in terms of news. Ive not even seen us linked to anybody. No news of new deals. Been mentioned we have 14 players signed up, Who??. Talk of Ward waiting to find out about funding. If that is the case how long do we wait, are we missing out of potential players while we wait. The rest of the champ seem to be moving on. There have been some very good signings and some pretty decent squads being put together. We seem to be falling behind (IMHO)
