We had our best attendances at The Valley, SW London is a bastion of Union, and we all saw what happened when we tried to piggy-back on Quins id!

Personally I've always thought Public Transport to be a major failing, we need to be as close to the Tube or a "convenient" NR Station as is possible.

Very selective use of data to make your point there. In SL1, you are correct we had our best average attendance (5699) at the Valley, the next best was at The Stoop in SL2 (5125). Both locations have seen much worse averages since. Do you think that makes for bad locations or is the club doing something wrong ?

Quote: Dan Stains woz God "No news yet re the OTR fixtures (will be lucky to hear anything until about May).

The bad news is that it's likely to be at Gillingham, Leyton or even Oxford
I can recall 'OTR' games in Wales (twice), Edinburgh and even Perpignan, so Oxford would be a doddle, I would prefer no OTR games but Oxford has some attractions and we would be helping a new RL community. The club need to be honest as regards their long term ground intentions, if they have got that far in their thinking, or are they hoping for something to turn up?

Why help a "new RL community" when London Super League seems in terminal decline? Whatever energy the club has needs expending HERE and NOW

selective at best...season 1 yes, seasons 5 and 6 no....Brentford was better on average.

Quote: CrusaderPete "SW London is a bastion of Union,'"

SW London is no more a bastion of Union than Wembley is a soccer stronghold......It's where they happen to have a national Union stadium.

Quote: CrusaderPete "and we all saw what happened when we tried to piggy-back on Quins id!'"

Yeah....we averaged just over 3,500 as Quins RL.....the only home we did better at was Brentford....west London...3 miles ftom Twickenham stadium!

Harlequins RU have gone from 3k to 14k gates in 8 years.........they know what they are doing...the management and owner of the Broncos don't!

Judging by the total beer mat concepts you've posted above, I reckon you're Gus......where's my fiver c020.gif

Posters in Train stations, flowers on roundabouts is the answer.

They are in the 20 point business model

The RFU have got in on the act too.

In their defence perhaps the club are keeping their powder dry for Chatham railway station. icon_wink.gif

As an outsider, it seemed to me that Twickenham is a poor location for you, the locals will always associate themselves with union, and it just looks like you are the poorer cousin. As London goes it is a bit of a ballache to get to, surely there are stadiums in London with much better public transport links. We always here about how many antipodeans there are in London, sounds like you could do more to get them in, maybe by opening early to show the NRL etc. I don't really see what taking the London brand outside of the city will achieve, it is like a Mancunian team taking home games to Liverpool.
