| I am so pleased that following our falling out with Monkey, we made our decision to stop attending away games.
Today, I spent a lovely day on the beach with my grandson and daughter. We did not even bother to check on the score until we got home.
I think we made a good decision. Thank you Monkey.

| Well done Vic, sounds much more fun than a road trip to grimsville.

Poor Alex. Give some posters think this forum isn't the best place for him, god only knows what watching that shyt3 did to the poor lad.....
Did I read earlier that the club sent the players up a day early and paid for their accomodation? If true, they should be made hitchhike home!

It was a lovely day, not too hot, the sea was warm. You could not ask for more.
When you think a trip to Whitehaven. Which for us means an overnight stop, probably costs us if we all go, five hundred pounds or more. I think I made the right decision!

If they can't find the try line how the hell would they find London again?

| Let's face it things are being put in place for next season . We have a mediocre coach an average team all ready for 2022 as a part time set up .
Followed London since 96 but not sure how much more of this I can put up with

| With rumours of a massive cut to central funding for League One due to be announced shortly, the next few weeks could be critical to the future of the sport as a professional sport down south. Finger's crossed both Skolars and Broncos are left standing in reasonable shape next season. Sadly, I'm not too confident...

So 2 teams with very few fans become 1 with not much if any more fans. Certainly doubt London needs 2 failing RL teams but not sure how much stronger a merged club would be. Wouldn't be against it on principle though.

| DC agreed. Skolars seem to do quite a bit of off the pitch work on engagement and diversity etc but on the pitch lose pretty much every game. ( having just re- read this They seem pretty similar to the new Broncos model).
Maybe though if we are reliant on southern based academy products and part time Aussies, one team might make a solid Champ side.

The trouble with merging Skolars and Broncos to increase the fan base is.
A lot of supporters follow both clubs and attend matches at both clubs.
So an attendance boost, it will not be.

| Answer is the same as it was in 1999, 2006, 2012, 2014 etc. Put in place a 10 year plan to build a professional self-sustaining (financially and player talent) Super league CLUB rooted in the community (wherever that may be), implement the plan and be patient. Sugar daddy is not the answer - hard work is!

Unless the laws have changed again, part time Aussies have work permit issues. Skolars used to field a few southern hemisphere lads who were living / working in London. Then work permit rules changed and they had to qualify for a work permit to play pro RL if they played for Skolars or another professional side. You can do this if they are qualified but it certainly weakened Skolars recruitment pool. There's usually a few at Hammersmith Hill Hoists who could play League One but either don't fancy the travel or don't qualify for a work permit to play professional RL.

Wouldn't disagree with that other than RL may not have 10 years left full time.

Problem is, as a SL club we had something to sell to sponsors and fans....in 2006 for example there were 4k watching a side that had made the play offs....mclinden etc were good players and the club had a good feeling about it.
Now the stench of death hangs over a few dozen fans watching poor players and the prospect of a trip to the 2nd tier playoffs is in the balance because we can't beat part timers.....
...as for a merger with the skolars. Nobody with a grain of sanity would touch the club unless it's rid of Hughes. He doesn't make friends of "partners" and seems more adept at ruining relationships with landlords.
