Quote: Paddock Punter "Whilst I have a degree of sympathy with this one for the travelling Saints fan - particularly as there will be room at 6.00 and it should be possible to sell some additional tickets solely for the League game I don't feel that £25 is an issue where the price is compared to prices at the crumbling GPW stadium. £19 (£17.50 in advance) to stand on those dilapilated terraces and £24 (£22.50 in advance) in the stand. So £25 for the facilities at the Stoop stacks up pretty favourably to me.'"

Shock horror, Paddock defends the actions of the club!

I'm sorry mate but this is utter madness regardless of any comparison. St Helens supporters are being charged £10 more than every other away supporter for no reason whatsoever. If I got charged £10 more than a Wigan supporter did to go to Knowsley Road I would be livid.

How about you give the OP £10 on the day to make up for it, seeing as £10 is obviously nothing to you?

Quote: Paddock Punter "That's London for you £3.20 for a lager ain't too bad down here (apart from Spoons)'"

Fair comment, BUT after travel costs, ticket costs. etc. It was the food costs that took me aback the most.

And there was me being nice to you on Saturday. How did I defend the club when I said that I had sympathy and then compared the prices at St Helens dump of a ground with the Stoop.

I agree that there should be a way of selling RL tickets at our normal prices for admission after say 5.00. However I would guess that there is some legislation crap/health and safety reason. We know without a shadow of a doubt that there will be plenty of Union people who will not be there at 6.00 but in theory they may still be there so I guess the red tape crap probably means that the club can't do it.

You would have thought that it could operate a bit like Wimbledon where they resell the centre court tickets as people leave. I would happily volunteer my services to do that if possible on the day - I'm sure you'd join me Listy.

Answer me this - do you think it is acceptable for the club to charge an extra £10 for something that St Helens supporters won't even attend, when there are perfectly logical solutions of charging them the normal price? Yes or no.

Absolutely. Apologies if I came across a bit strong.

This highlights how much we are the Union clubs bitch. They flex in on OUR matchday because they can't find a suitable day to play their game, try and point out how we somehow benefit from this double header then screw visiting supporters as well as non-season ticket QRL fans. If I didn't have a season ticket I wouldn't be going. It absolutely stinks.

Have to admit, haven't been to KR since 2003 play-offs........it was bad then, god knows what it's like now. I paid £2.50 back then for a pint of Carlsberg from a van.........not sure what they charge now.

Comparing TW2 with KR is like comparing a Bentley Continental and a Model-T with no wheels.

....and we attracted 17,500 to our hole last weekend whilst the posh TW2 had about 1000 on despite the ' official' attendance. KR is a far better place to watch a game at least we can stand up........and in a year or so we will have our new state of the art stadium with 18,000 capacity and terracing, and it will be ours and there will be no RU on it.

I do think some Saints fans have gone OTT over this. It isn't Quins' fans' fault so why are my fellow fans having a go on here? Surely they should be emailing Quins RL?

In many ways I prefer KR to the Stoop, yes it's a sty, but it's a RL sty, and always loved going there, despite being tonked most times [Moran hat trick night excepted] anyways back on topic....

Forgive my ignorance but I have done no research on this, but are the Union supporters [home and away] also being charged extra for having a League game to watch?

The £25 is the usual price for a Union ticket.
