So do you think that ref was good ?

I dont want to take this thread down the referee route, like so many previously have done. But i feel compelled to say something - i am not saying he was bent, taking bribes, a born and bred Wiganer or.............. what he was, in the first 30 minutes was inept to a point that i was on the verge of a hear attack!The succesion of penalties against us, not for a single offence but for multiple indiscretions. Yet when Wigan, as far as i could see, did the same thing - every protest was waved away. He very nearly ruined the day.

He did improve, and hence the game improved, last 10 or so minutes of first half and second half were much better, and so was the game. I accept we were our own worst enemies in the first 30mins, we kept dropping the ball, trying impossible offloads etc, but he compounded the situation, but we WON!!!!

All the London penalties were for offences at the ptb, either slowing it down or hands on the ball. When did the penalties stop? When they got put on a team warning! So was that the ref no longer looking for the offences or London stopped offending! Points to me a team that were pushing the boundaries in a certain area, not the ref being poor!
For what it’s worth wigan gave away more penalties than us, by quite a lot, does that mean the ref was biased towards us? So how the ref compounded the situation am not sure..
London got stung by cas at the ptb, they were trying to slow it down, mostly successfully through good play, occasionally not!

LIke I said northernbloke we will never agree. He hit us for minor things and ignored the self same things from Wigan

Lol and the penalty count was still heavily slewed in our favour! So he obviously didn’t ignore everything

The penalty count tells you nothing about how consistent the ref is or what he may have missed.

Watch the game as a neutral not a fan. We got penalised justifiably, so did they. Or are you saying you wanted a game with more penalties? Then he is accused of killing the game.

I would rather not notice the ref at all.

On the whole we were.

The point being Wigan weren't penalised for similar infringements.

Wigan were penalised for the bloomin obvious, no-conjecture type like late hits, off side, etc

Wigan didn’t need to slow down the ptb, they were winning the ruck generally! Ergo they were not getting penalised for it! Try watching the tackle and where the player ends up, it matters

rubbish they slowed the game down and got away with it and numerous high tackles and jamming players arms so they couldn't get up from tackles quickly and got penalised. there has always been a rule for wigan and s*d everyone else as the decision to give their points back prove. The RFL and referess should all hang their heads in shame for the way they sheild WIGAN
