| Dear oh dear. I know nothing of the NRL but is there anyone down under out of a job who'd do a job?
Kear and Noble don't float my boat for some reason

| A quick question. Why do people think he was out of his depth? He was an Assistant at NRL clubs for years?

| Answer to that one is pretty easy don't think that many people said that mainly 1 person. I personally think the bloke put his heart and soul into the job, you can see that in his face when he was interviewed, maybe that didn't help.
Good luck to the fella

| He brought a group of players together full time on a significant budget, coached them for a number of months as a group, and in the first few games the team looked clueless against part time opposition.(Leigh being the exception). Early days I accept.
He was at the club the year before so knew the culture. He looked like a rabbitt in the headlights after the Sheffield game

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| The name that wandered across my apology for a brain was Jim Dymock, but I don't suppose that's even remotely possible.

| Some people on Twitter seem to think Bobbie Goulding is interested in the job. He's said (allegedly) that he would be up for it, as claims we have a good squad just need a few dogs in it
What's everyone's opinion on here, as he's not been in the game for a while

It would be good news for his biggest fan - Bobbie Goulding.
Avoid.

He failed in France and has made anti-London comments in the past. Avoid - though you would get some mongrel in the team!

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.: |
|
| I saw an interview with Andrew Henderson where he stated that the best coach he played under was Terry Matterson - I was disappointed,I thought he may have named someone else.
Anyhow,as a former player with London, now an assistant at Gold Coast Titans who are currently mired in a drugs enquiry and under the control of the NRL,
he may be interested as he has stated an intention to be a head coach again.
There is also the rumour that should Dr Marwan Koukash purchase the Gold Coast club they may relocate.
He is a good friend of Henry the head coach at Titans but he did get Castleford promoted into Super League after initially taking them down.

| I also thought of Jim Dymock, but sometimes going for an ex player is more on sentiment than rationale thought. I think an experienced coach is needed. Kear isnt a London fan, so i would rule him out. Still think Noble, even part time is worth a punt - otherwise open to suggestions

| Liked Matterson as a player. I thought that opinions were mixed as to his coaching ability at Cas, but he certainly developed into a first class whinger at refereeing decisions.

| Jimmy Dymock has been assistant at the Bulldogs for a few years now and also had a successful period in temporary charge a couple of seasons back. No idea if he'd be interested but I'd be on the phone to find out. Also be looking at David Fairleigh, ex Sts prop who's been coaching the Cook Islands for a few years and done well with them.

| Mebbee Sean long would fancy it full time.
That is a joke by the way.
Seriously it will be interesting to see how they react this weekend, it's not that unusual for a squad to react positively when this happens and bang in a good performance, hey its a straw for me to grasp at

| Goulding didn't exactly set Barrow alight, though he did reasonably well at Rochdale.
As for ex-players, Matterson has some experience......Whats Peter Gill up to these days?
Sean Edwards anyone?
