It’s a good attitude to have but it’s hard when we are poaching players from West Wales when not so long ago it was Widnes/Sheffield/ Fev or players that hadn’t quite made SL grade consistently. Everything points to a lower standard and poorer results and those home games against Bradford, Fev and in particular TO were pretty horrible to watch. The fear is there are now a greater number of teams who will hand out that type of beating. Quite how that fits with Plough Lane is difficult to see.

Alex Walker goes to Halifax (a part time club I assume) on TRIAL!!! Sheesh it must be a hard sell getting players to come to Broncos now. I can only assume our wages aren’t as competitive as they were.....making our expenditure on multiple grounds all the more mystifying. Halifax look like they have really stepped up this year and might turn Fev and Leigh over.

Are you thinking of going to any Broncos games next year? Can you stand without support?

Is L1 experience needed?
Also I can’t remember are we running a reserve team as well. I think we might be. In which case we definitely don’t have enough players.

It may well be that Alex is not wanting to commit to Halifax, still hoping to get a berth in SL. Just needing to play somewhere to keep his hand in and in the shop window.

I do question how some of the clubs finances are going to work out over the season ? All clubs monies from the RFL have been slashed, yet many seem to be signing a lot of players.
I can see that this will all end in tears for some.

I thought it was pretty clear that Walker was only training to keep his fitness up, while waiting for a decent offer to come along.

Yes I guess he’s up North because that’s where the SL clubs are. He had a tricky time inSL with Trinity whereas he looked good at Fev. So the big question is whether he feels playing Championship with a Northern side is better than staying in London. My guess is he thinks it is. I agree though he is the type of player that we should be going for to supplement the L1 prospects and give us a deeper squad. At the moment I’m unclear who our FB and wingers will be.

We should be all.over him, but I expect financially it works out better for him up north
