simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

| No need to add anymore to whats everyone has said here.
Good solid team effort.
Great to see we kicked to both wings for a change, seen to confuse Wakey as our normal game plan was never to kick to Dixons wing before. Colbon and Sarg work well together i think, they seem to talk to each other which is a good thing due to whats gone on before.
Strange about Witt and the kicking, a maybe this has highlighted a problem that we lack another goal kicker.
As for Catalans game, they are a big side so would it be worth a punt of sticking an extra forward on the bench..????
If not should we stick with same 17 and then rota some players for the Leeds game..??

16679.jpg Well f**k my hat, I didn't know that!
Come all without, come all within, we're London Broncos not the H********s!:16679.jpg |
|
| Great win, best defensive performance Ive seen in ages, Bournemouth boy's nursing a major hangover (and he had to go to work today!!) - excellent kicking game, simple but effective, Gower's best game yet, Clubb getting close to his best, Dixon and Sarge excellent, no weak links at all. Felt a bit sorry for Wakey as nothing they tried came off but the way we played I think we'd have held them off any way! Back to back home wins!!
Roll on Thursday, c'mon London!!

| I thought Cook was excellent, particularly in defence. If we can keep him fit, I think he will perhaps begin to prove his promise

| Stunning performance by the whole team.
Can't believe our defence can improve so much in a week. Hope Rob Powell continues training in the same way.
Well done to the players & staff.

| Watching it back again - Gower outstanding.
Also Ganson was extraordinarily tough on Wakefield, he gave them next to nothing. Hilarious!

Totally agree about Gower and to think of all the doubters and critics he had when we signed him, he has really risen to the challenge so far.
Ganson, the game is going more and more like wrestling used to be on ITV Saturday afternoon's, the crazy score lines.

| Well played guys, Im pleased for Rob Powell (despite it being us) and despite the thrashing I loved coming down to the Stoop, great home fans, good stewards, great bar etc etc. Loved it.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

| Marvellous improvement in defence.
Without wanting to be over critical!!! Are we to reliant on the kick to score tries? In the past I was of the thought it was Hudds down fall that they relied heavily on the kick within the attacking 20. I’ve always felt there is a reliance on and element of luck with a kick. Are we happy with out attacking options with the ball going through the hands?
Could Dorn be used like Mac uses Burrow at Leeds? Of the bench adding a bit of speed. When he came on against The Reds during what was a woeful performance he livened it up.

RE 1. Relying on the kick everytime is not going to work. If we get near their 40 metre line on tackle 5 it is the best option if we have a good kicker(which we do) and the backs get forward to challenge for the ball. We should either score, get some advantage (knock on, drop out or we catch it ala Dixon)or tackle them on their line - all advantage to us.
Any chance to run at the line upto the 5th tackle we should be doing but after that - back to the grubber or air kick towards our waiting players who can catch it and score or maybe some other advantage.
Its what Saints and Wigan do and it works!
RE 2. Not sure I even want him on the bench at the moment but i think thats how it will be ATM with Robertson at FB. Injuries to other players may mean Dorn will have to start.

| Fantastic to see such an improved performance. Some impressive play, great to see Kieran get his first try on top of it all.

Cant recall any of our tries at Widnes coming from kicks. Think Saturday might just have been an anomaly in that regard.

Who cares?
There's an advert on TV over here for a betting firm...it shows repeated last plays from the NZ Warriors.......every single one is a kick for THE BEAST......it is the "signature" play of the team. It makes little difference if you know it's coming....defending against it is near impossible.
A few more games of this tactic and then you can start to mix it up on the 5th in their 20 or 10...........but for now, if it works, then use it!
IMO that is.......and sorry for commenting on the game and not the marketing....
