| Quote: Marilyn "Has anybody you are travelling with got a railcard to get a discount?'" Yes, an Adult Super Off-Peak Day Return is £13.55 with a networkrail card which is valid on the HS1 trains.
Interesting pricing though. My station to KingsX = £6.60 and then StPancras to Gillingham = £13.55 which comes to £20.15. But my station to Gillingham = £21.90 so cheaper to buy the 2 separate returns than 1 direct ticket! Stupid how they work out the fares.

I've often found that separate train tickets can work out a lot cheaper than direct ones! Dunno which genius thought up the system but that seems to be the way it is!

| This......from the coach who does not like to make excuses......pre-empting another loss I suspect.
London Broncos coach Rob Powell says playing games away from the Twickenham Stoop erodes their home advantage.
The Super League side played at Leyton Orient's Brisbane Road earlier this month and face Hull FC at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium on Sunday.
He told BBC London 94.9: "It's an away day. It's good we take the game to new places but we have to travel the morning of the game.
"It takes away a bit of our advantage from a performance perspective."
He added: "It's good we showcase ourselves in Kent, where there are good things going on with the Medway Dragons, but it is another away day."
Heavens knows the biggest disadvantage we have is him.

He doesn't do himself any favours does he, if we had fortress Stoop with outstanding performances there he could have a small point, but as it is? deary me.

| I know we all like to slag him off (rightly so btw) but there's nothing wrong with that quote.
We've won 2 games this season, both were at home, being at home does give us an advantage.

So does the fact that on those 2 occasions the opposition were ****, anyone playing that badly we would have been beaten anywhere!

"we should only ever be expected to play sides who are part time and who come down to us every week, we should not be expected to travel which is to our disadvantage, we also will only ever travel away to go to Old Trafford or Wembley and in those cases if we have to have guaranteed opposition from either championship sides or reduced squad SL sides of no more than 10 players.

| Quote: Homer "In his post match interview, Super Leagues youngest coach, Flobbed Towell, laid the blame for his teams poor run of form over the past two seasons firmly at the door of the Rugby League. " I am not sure what they expect me and a club to do when they continually either make us play at the others teams grounds, or send us opposition which frankly are much too big and scary for us to play properly". " In recent times" he continued "no lesser opposition than Wigan and Warrington let alone Hull kr and Widnes have come down here and beaten us all across the park, and I for one am sick and tired of this horrible attitude the RFL have towards a London side".
Powell [4 and 1/2] then outlined how he saw the game progressing in the South with him at the helm.
"we should only ever be expected to play sides who are part time and who come down to us every week, we should not be expected to travel which is to our disadvantage, we also will only ever travel away to go to Old Trafford or Wembley and in those cases if we have to have guaranteed opposition from either championship sides or reduced squad SL sides of no more than 10 players.'"
