| Whitehaven made the trip down and your point is?????? Our team and the hardcore group of supporters do this northern journey every other week and not once a year. It costs these fans an absolute fortune in a season. I worked it out when we did it for years that with petrol, food, ticket entry, programme. cancelled train tickets and hotel rooms due to games being cancelled and sometimes overnight stays are needed it was approx. £4000 per season for two of us its a lot more now. Give our hardcore fans the praise they deserve. Part of the low gate is because the club has very badly treated a lot of long time fans and they feel enough is enough. It has been far worse since Neil was replaced. Also people are still worried about covid and seeing LB fans all grouped together on TV (their gravitation I would think) does not help.

Who wants to answer that without being sued?

| OK, probably best no-one answers. Asked in innocence as I saw the term used in an earlier post.

Lol......that's like calling the landlord of your local boozer the CEO of a Hydration and Revitalisation Station.
He's an idiot who because he has the keys to the social media cupboard, thinks he is someone slightly more important than he actually is.
His role it generate interest and subsequent revenue streams in and for the club with his key areas if success thus far being a carbon copy of a supporters lottery that already existed and has sponsored the academy for years and managing to flog a few players sponsorships to repeat sponsors. He has managed this whilst shaving between 4 and 500 off the average gate figures and making fans with decades of loyal support walk away with little intention of returning.
The pricing structure (s) prepared for this season are a prime example of someone giving the potman the keys and calling him the landlord.
I suspect he like the other gimps employed before by doddery Dave over the last decade and more, is on borrowed time before the plug is pulled and we vanish into thin air.

You're not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you Northern Bloke. Note there is no question mark at the end of that.....it's an observation and not an enquiry.
If you're looking for the kids that previously got in for free, why not contact their parents who accompanied them and ask? Oh. That's right. Doddery Dave and Monkey Boy reckon the old fans aren't worth the bother and the shiny new Wimbledon fans will replace them.
I hear the average age at the ground at the weekend was north of 50 and the majority (90%) gender male........the lack of 30/40 yr olds with kids/wives would point to the pricing being wrong. You being stood with the exception doesn't mean I'm not right, it just means you refuse to accept your wrong.
If the club needs £1 million a year to continue in the 2nd tier then they need a minimum of £70k a week on the gate. That's 3,500 paying £20 on the door......yesterday you had 300 max paying £15.......when I started warning the club about the need for fans we had 3,900 paying £15....but I was the mad bloke, trolling league forums as a doom monger......

| I only worked at a Super League club for a month! Taking 4 weeks holiday leave from my full time career. Many here think they are experts when really you are clueless how difficult it is in rugby league with finances, but everyone thinks they are experts! I was completely shocked!

| You really don't need years of professional backroom experience to spot a club that is hopelessly reliant on a benefactor, shedding fans and losing / reducing income streams.
I think we all accept RL is in a huge mess off the pitch in England and finances are very challenging. That alone doesn't justify the downwards trajectory of the club off the pitch for several years. Sadly, it will make it harder to turn around
My experience as a fan at both Prescot Panthers and Oxford RL may be relevant to my view point.

| It doesn't take a great deal to;
Contact current and past fans(on the phone, by text, or email) and keep them 'interested'
Mobilise your No1 fans and post flyers, stand at train stations
Keep a club website up to date and interesting
Connect with local RL clubs and bring the kids and parents on board
............ Over to you Orangeman

| Contacting current and past fans is not as straight forward as that. Very easy to breach data protection laws by using the data you have stored for marketting purposes unless permission has been granted.
Linking with local clubs, and do what? Local clubs that play are all fully aware of broncos and skolars, if they are fans they come anyhow, those that dont come are unlikely to just coz club engages with them. I struggle to justify RL on sat and sunday to my family, lot of amateur players do the same.
Kids rugby, schools yep engage with them, and think the club has shown it does engage with schools already.

Makes you wonder why any business would employ marketing staff or even promote the business.
