1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

Dave you and Gutterfax give out enough stick to others, so you have to be able to take it back! - LOL - I made my choice not to make it personal!
I agree 4 years seems a long contract but perhaps it is more to protect the investment we have made in London born young players, which we do need if we are going to continue.

I believe Luke`s current injury is torn ligaments in the foot or something similar, so we may already have seen the last of him. Great shame, he put in some very good performances.

Surely the most positive aspect of this announcement'"
Well, yes, but if the club folds I doubt that players would get any compensation for unfulfilled contracts, so there's no cost to the club. Clubb and his agent must believe it though.

| I honestly don't think Louie will be around for another year, never mind 4, Listy.

Oh I am of the same opinion, but that is what I would have hoped would have been offered. In fact, if we offered the likes of Clubb a 4 year deal, perhaps a 16 year deal would be more suitable for Louie.

No problem taking it back, but pointing out spelling mistakes or slight miscalculations is what I normally get....together with the fans can't do anything about it and my personal favourite......we have shirt sponsors so everything will be OK. I have yet to have any viable business observations from the apologists, just snide (and personal) comments......BTW.....I only direct my "stick" towards the Club and its staff.....I very rarely have a pop at any other fans, unless you are referring to the lesser populated NRL board where aussie baiting is akin to shooting fish in a barrel ....don't get your hopes up just yet.
FWIW, I believe The club would survive in the lower leagues....and has enough young lads coming through to compete in CH1......but keeping them would be a problem if SL football was lost.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |
|
| Well done Tony good to see you at Quins for another 4 years.

| I see Clubb did his party trick once more against Salford to gift them a score.

| But also set up 2 tries, I don't think anyone is saying he's international class but I think he's got potential and would hate to see it realised at another club. Therefore I'm happy with the 4 year deal

Set up? I could have set up 1 of those tries. I don't have a massive problem resigning him, he has had 1 bad season, the problem is that he has been given FOUR YEARS. A repeat of this year next season and it would be time to get rid, no matter how sympathetic we are to one of the few blokes from the South who has risen to a decent level. But we would not be able to. We are a professional Rugby League club, we cannot be loyal to those from the south for the sake of it as they will be disloyal to us (LMS).

| Did you see the highlights of the Reds game last night before the Leeds/Saints game.
Clubby came flying out of the line and missed his man resulting in a score-If I was the opposition coach I would expose this every time-decent sides always put runners through the back so why not tempt Clubby into a dummy runner opening a wide hole-To make it worse when he runs out of the line he goes inwards on an angle and makes the hole even bigger-You could possibly deal with it if he went straight up because that would force the ball carrier out wide whereas running in opens the whole up in front of the ball carrier.
Why doesnt Mac say if you come out of the line again I'm going to drop you-simple. I wouldnt expect an amateur side to make the same mistake repeatedly never mind SL standard. If you stay in the line the decision sits with the attacking team., if you open a hole up there is no decision

"I have this system where I support England first, then the other Home Nations, then the rest of the Commonwealth, then the rest of the World, then France.": |

| I'm not sure I've ever seen a player go south as dramatically as Clubb has over the last two years. To think he was knocking on the doorr of the World Cup squad in 2008 and then to look at him now, you couldn't believe it was the same player. I'd like to know what the reason for this is, we're not just talking about a simple loss of form. Maybe Quins feel that a 4-year contract is a big statement of belief in his ability. It's possible that that is what he needs to restore his confidence. Bottom line for me is that he is not as bad a player as he has been for (most) of this season, so something needs to be done to help him get back on track.

It's clearly Brian McDermott's fault, everything else is.
