I'd rather shoot myself than spend any length of time in Stratford. It is an awful place.

Pushing water uphill:

Quote: Surreyben "Actually, they are a household name to any union fan. Richmond are one of the most famous, historic and oldest rugby union clubs in England.'"

Interestingly (or not), Richmond played the very first game under Football Association rules, against Barnes in Mortlake, in 1863. They can't have enjoyed it much, as they then became founder members of the RFU in 1871. You might not be surprised to learn it was a 0-0 draw.

i'm guessing it was a 0-0 draw either due to the fact that they kept kicking it over the crossbar or beacuse whenever they got the ball they just kicked it away followed by the fans clapping

Saw a Fuller's van yesterday in a car park and it said on the side official beer of England Golf Union....so an affiliation with rugby shouldn't be such an issue.

Golfers have a union? What do they want, longer hours, less money?

Perhaps League Express will see this as an example of the clubs new kit and an attempt to keep some of the tradition that rubbed of on us while we were Harlequins RL.

Seriously, I refuse to pay money to see the article, but if anyone is willing to PM the relevant piece of text (Fullers bit) and the name of the author I'd be grateful.

The links are a picture of a rugby shirt and beanie hat - both red and black in a similar design to the Quins shirt....e.g. quarters.
