| Unless something has changed the FSF's remit is restricted to football. Supporters Direct weren't restricted to just football. A little noticed change at the time, but potentially very significant.

| Quote: Moe Lester "Whatever people's thoughts are on Hughes and where exactly he went wrong, I personally don't see any point in discussing it. He's gone and there's a time for discussing him and his tenure but for now, this isn't the time.
I agree. The time for recriminations is when/if the fat lady sings.
I'm presuming it is £175 for an adult membership, so some very simple vape packet maths makes that 2,000 adult season tickets, though that doesn't take into account anyone that purchases some form of hospitality membership and any concessions, which will surely be cheaper than £175. Did the club even have 2,000 season ticket holders in 2024? Probably not. Even if you make the target 1,500, which is still incredibly ambitious and average out their memberships at £150, there's still an £87,000 shortfall. Really it's riding on external investment as the fanbase is not realistically going to raise £350,000 in a month.
£175 is cheaper than last year. I think it’s a decent deal but as you say the maths looks problematic. I’d say if they got 500 STs they would be doing a good job. Ultimately they need some sponsors and external partners who aren’t just contras and, to my eyes, this is something we’ve struggled to do since moving to Wimbledon and certainly to find at an early stage. Brew Dog et al seemed to turn up at the 11th hour.

| It would certainly be advantageous to carry the Fans Forum live for those that are unable to attend.

3% of the 200k achieved on the funding page. I would suggest that there is more chance of them reaching the 200k than there is of the club selling 350k worth of anything and assuredly more chance of both being achieved before anything of any substance is asked or answered at the fans forum.
If anyone wished to ask meaningful questions, maybe start with Loubsers salary expectations moving forward, the other full time staff members expectations. Be assured, the CEO will expect to be paid before anyone else.

| I assume that the £350,000 in the next month figure is to get passed the Championship AGM or whatever 'meeting' they have. It seems a huge target, comparatively speaking, for a club with fewer than 500 season ticket holders. I think more membership packages could have been released, too, and am surprised that there hasn't been any more released.
There's a fair few other options to raise some funds. They'll not raise £350,000 and certainly not in a month but some initiatives that could be used.
Sponsorship of equipment - a non-league team that I follow used this a few years ago. They got a range of matchday equipment and then auctioned it off as sponsorship. The winners got recognition online, a hand signed letter from the first team manager and there was a specific matchday where the auction winners got some minor hospitality - a free burger, some free drinks in the boardroom, tours, meet the players etc. I was the proud sponsor of the subs' bibs that season, my Dad sponsored the water bottles. I'm sure there was one item for auction for each day of the month.
More Membership Types - As I say, I expected more options available. I assumed that a hospitality membership would be released, a membership for the 'Broncos Bar', a membership for non-match attending fans/exiles, a player sponsorship membership package, a 3-5-7 game ticket package, an SW19 residents package.
Player Sponsorship - has it been released? I know there's three players signed up but surely there's options that can be released? The club names a 21-man squad 48 hours before a game and while I've never counted, I assume 21 complete the warm-up. A friend has got into Ice Hockey and is part of an "Own and Loan" initiative. He paid x amount (I don't know the figure) and he 'owns' a player's shirt and 'loans' it to the player for the season. At the end of the season there is a function on, where he's invited, gets his shirt handed over from the player who has worn it all year and gets the shirt signed and pictures sent to him a few weeks later. While it's hard to do right now as the squad hasn't been assembled, there's going to be 21 warm-up tops every week. Do that with them. Print the name of the owner on the back and at the last home game, have the players hand over a signed warm-up top with their name on, to the fan who has sponsored it.
"Buy a Try" - It's a rubbish name, I know. It's one I do with the non-league team I follow. I did it last year and offered up £1 for each league win and 50p per league goal. I ended up giving the club £22 (it wasn't a good season!) and I've not even got up to £10 this year, either. Others I know pick a player and donate a sum based on goals scored by that player, one person does £10 per penalty scored. I appreciate tries are more common but it could be done.
The problems I acknowledge with the above are that you are stretching your fanbase thin and asking a lot of them, especially financially.
As an aside, do the LBSA have any finances or do anything? I know Bradford Bulls had/have the Bullbuilder that sets aside money that is used for signings, I've heard of similar in football, is that something that could be utilised? I feel a bit uneasy with it being for short-term signings but would be more supportive if it was used to fund the pathways.

| Good stuff Moe,
At least people can't say our little group of anarchists on here haven't come up with a whole variety of potentially money making ideas.
I see in addition to the Forum which sadly I shall not be in London for, Cakeman is on Talkrubbish this afternoon at 2.30pm.

Will be interesting to hear what Mike Eccles says, as I can’t get to the fans forum.

| From Steve Mascord on RugbyLeagueHub patreon this morning....
LONDON Broncos chief executive Jason Loubser has told a fan forum he expects the endangered club to climb from 24th to “14th or 15th” in IMG rankings when they are delivered to clubs today (Tuesday).
Around 45 fans of the capital’s only remaining professional rugby league club attended an information night at Cherry Red Records Stadium at which they were told about efforts to save the Broncos.
The club - relegated from Super League this year - has previously said it needs some £350,000 by Christmas to compete in the Championship next year.
“While we don’t like the rankings, potential investors do because it tells them what’s possible,” Loubser said in answer to one fan query.
“We believe our ranking will be 14th or 15th but in saying that we don’t know what other clubs have done. We don’t know that for sure.
“We are about two and a half points off grade A … we could be back in Super League in two years.”
A jump of 10 places would be down to a better average performance over the applicable period and improved commercial and engagement metrics, the CEO predicted.
Several fans made reference to the club being aloof in the past and shutting out supporters, with one saying: “People have walked away in the past because of what has been said to them by people at the club.”
Head of performance and incumbent men’s coach Mike Eccles said: “We know that we have to do better in that area.
“This is a new start, a reset.”
One fan offered the club the use of a four-bedroom apartment to host players and a van
Eccles said the club planned to spend less on players than ever before in 2026 but vowed to bring back the academy if financial targets were met.
When Loubser was asked for specifics about who might be interested in investing, he said there had been “a few emails, a few phone conversations, a couple of guys in Australia.
“A few have said they’re waiting to hear the gradings.”

Thanks Lefty. Not a lot of useful information there.

| I believe that David Hughes like a lot of people who have power. Disliked criticism, fans forums invite it, so in his book fans forums probably were best avoided..
