| Macani was vulnerable in defence. Walker wasn't back to his reliable self. Campo was pedestrian. The defence was poor. Meadows was one of our best. Oli made the biggest impact when he came on. Team selection was poor today.

Agreed Leyland did well and Kershaw works very hard. Thought Butterworth did quite well but generally there are too many who are anonymous at this level. Id like to see a few of our players cutting out the crabbing sideways and just moving forward and a quicker PTB.

Could we swap out Macani for Boafo. IIRC at championship level he was prepared to make hard metres and defend - not sure if he’s a massive step up from Macani defensively but he does have real pace and unlike quite a few of our players simply wouldn’t be caught if he broke away.

| Can someone please explain to me what that halftime thing was that went on over on the far side of the pitch.
Something to do with Brewdog. Two kids doing something, however it was being played out in front of nobody.
The stand close to it was empty and all the hospitality that overlooked it was empty, everyone had ed off inside.
It was in truth rubbish. In the same way as was our defence in the game.
Plus if you are doing something with the assistance of our sponsor, give them something for it, put some signs up.
The club have a history of giving little back to sponsors.
Kids playing for a Brewdog voucher, did I get that right? Seems wrong to me.

Like everyone else having stared at the floor for five minutes I went into the fan zone so didn’t see but they had a competition on Twitter following up on a post where players tried to knock down cans by throwing the ball accurately. Tellingly they didn’t do well. The idea was people who commented on tweet would be put in a hat with one LB fan and one wolves fan battling it out to win £60:worth of brew dog vouchers. Didn’t look a tremendous take up and bemused to hear 2 kids battled it out. My view - a little thought/prep is best when running these competitions to ensure they look professional. Hopefully we’ll improve next time but big worry is reducing crowds make us a less good team to sponsor. Come on Broncos get some players in before this season goes down the pan.

A version of the Instagram video, knock over five Brewdog cans with five balls. Interesting that they selected children to win a £60 Brewdog voucher.

Yeah we noticed his size.....he's listed online at 5'5.....no way. He's def smaller than Burrow was at 5'3"

| Quote: BigTime "It’s really annoying because it’s been clear over last 3 home games that are quite a few RU fans, occasional fans and dormant fans who have been coming back to see us in top flight and are served up that. Players are clearly trying but everyone could see our recruitment was not SL standard and not enough through the door. It’s obvious that these fans are less likely to return when we lose so badly. It’s one step forward, two steps back all the time with the Broncos. Gawd knows what happens next season.'"
I've said it once the recruitment was sorted that this is almost like a suicide ....a deliberate on?
After the gradings it would have been far better for London to have ceded their spot this year to Wakey
As I say...today could have been a lot of fun against a Champ side

Yes it was odd they did it there.,..but as Bewdog vouchers were involved I'd have been interested in bringing my kid
We asked for our free pint of stout at 2.30 when we got there and told it was too late....there were at least 30 still lined up behind the bar

| Just heard they are doing a who can smoke the most ciggies in 5 minutes U12s and U14s categories before the Giants game. Prize 2 crates of Dragon Soop. Should bring the crowds in.

Don’t know about trains from Waterloo to Earlsfield.
I don’t know about driving into London, I avoid doing it as much as possible.
Wimbledon might not be perfect but has more transport connections than many places we’ve played at before.'"
20 minute walk to ground from either....add to that the train / tube journey times and waiting for the bloody things to arrive / be delayed
I'm forever astonished that Londoners like to espouse how great public transport is.....it's a cr ap experience when compared to the convenience of getting in your own car and driving
Plough Lane is doomed as a venue for RL
RL in London should always be a north London project ....not least as it's vastly more accessible to where the game is played / away fans

Would love it if Broncos were based in North London as getting to Wimbledon couldn’t be more of a hassle but we are where we are and can’t keep moving around. At least with decent sized crowds (for the moment) and finally a bit of effort in engagement with local community it makes some sense.

| Re-the Brewdog Challenge. The Warrington rep (adult) was ready. Long delay then the London rep headed out from the South East Corner with two kids. Warrington guy went first and took out two cans then missed his last three. The Broncos hit one of his first three. Then took out the blocks (on which the cans were sitting) to hit the last two. So won 3-2. Problem is the announcer made it clear that hitting the blocks didn't count. I think the Warrington rep felt rightly ripped off and appeared to complain and was told tough or something (it was on the speakers).
Now onto the set-up. This is where the Broncos fail miserably from a marketing perspective. In front of the main stand where no GA seats are sold and the majority of Hospitality are inside at the break? Put it in front of the East Stand and you'd even get fan interaction. If you really want to up the atmosphere then away fan in front of North Stand and home fan in front of East Stand. It was only a table, five blocks, five cans and some rugby balls. You could have two set-ups. Even alternate attempts to increase interaction. Small things, but get the best exposure for your sponsors.
I watched the video of the Broncos attempts at training last week (including Adebiyi, so surprised he wasn't in the 21), and they weren't great!

Agree with everything you say there. Definitely some scope for half time ‘entertainment but if you put minimal effort in it looks really Mickey Mouse. Sometimes less is more and a bit of time to plan something decent then promote it properly is the best way.
Although I didn’t see the comp I did hear the guy over the tannoy saying you have to hit the can not the block so no wonder the Wire guy was choked.

Lovell didn't seem to want the ball today. Very pedestrian.
