| shipping over 50 at home to a mid table side shows how the Dewsbury game was an exception.
Only thing that might keep us up is winning both games v Town + Dewsbury away. Even then I don't think 9 points will be enough, so would have to hope we can beat Barrow at home or possibly even Haven away, but clutching at straws here.

In a sane world , and knowing a couple of experienced coaches are available, and if London Broncos had a sane owner, I’d 100% agree with you.
But we have DH don’t we……..

| Some of our defence today was woeful and I still can't believe how we bombed a try by running over the dead ball line with the ball in hand

I think he had retired. Now it seems it was just retiring from the rigours of L1.
In fairness he clearly has good hands but looks and moves like someone in his late 30s. As you say recruitment wise it’s a statement of intent but I’m far from convinced it’s an intent I would sign up to.

I thought this was Ulberg’s best game and that he was our best player. Yes it was really, really stupid of him to run out but In mitigation, like me, he may well have felt that Mocedrike can’t convert from anything other than right in front of the sticks so I think he was narrowing the angle.

He’d have to be insane to do so. There I’ve set someone up for a punchline!

| I thought the Broncos were appalling today. Newcastle players really wanted it. We couldn't handle (literally) the kicks at the right hand defence. Ullberg what over in the corner, decided to get closer to the posts and put his foot over the dead ball line after travelling 20 odd yards in the in goal area. Game was already over by then anyway.
Watching tonight I struggle to see how the coach will be around come the next home match.
I only see one more home win likely this season (Workington). To avoid relegation will require a number of wins on the road. Haven't had one yet.

| Yes as has been said, we were dreadful. They seemed a pretty average side, but we made them look good.
I was entertaining the thought of going to Batley next week. Our performance tonight has put that idea right out of my head.

Ulberg was good but he was part of the issue being peppered by kicks. I think two of the first four tries came from Newcastle overloading in the corner on their kicks.

| Oh, and the number of unnecessary penalties conceded tonight.

I’m not going to defend that which can’t be defended but I think Rammo is right it’s difficult to see who would get anymore out of this team. To be clear I don’t think there is much more to get out of this squad (and it should be said we haven’t been hit particularly hard by injuries yet). It is to a large extent a L1 squad. In some seasons we might have been alright but a number of teams have strengthened and with the team also being completely new it’s taken time to bed in as well.
I also think it would take a bit of time and money to attract an upgrade manager doing that half way though the season with a weak squad and no funds available would limit our choices. Like it or not Coleman has to own this team for the season and we see where we are when we know we are down ( that seems the most likely outcome now). I’m happy for us to have an interim coach for the last few games if that gives the board time to recruit competently. Now is not the time for them to make another Ill considered decision. There have been too many of those recently.
In many ways a delay in clarity about what league we will be in next season will not help us. We are better off knowing at an earlier stage as this board has shown itself very reticent to make decisions until they have certainty. Other teams have not been so reticent and we are where we are because of our slack recruitment and retention.

Yup defence wise I’m not sure about him. Although I prefer him to Juma. Remember him? Is he still in the squad ? Who knows?
