He was open with the fans stating the reasons why he did not resign which was because his family is residing permanently in the North.
It amases me the number of fans who slate players who move to other clubs, a player of Jarrod,s quality moving to another club is usually because they are offered more money which is the same as anybody moving jobs to better them selves and earn more money.'"
No it wasn't he had signed a new deal the day before the shelved announcement. Thankfully the club had the good grace to rip it up when he got the text telling him to choose London or his family.

David Hughes gets a lot of stick on here but if this is the case, he and the management ought to be commended as they could have easily asked for a fee for Sammut.

Whilst I am aware of the strain distances can put o relationships, if he had signed with London then a fee was due, no matter if it were a token fee or not. He would have discussed his re-signing with London with his family before hand and had just returned from a lengthy break in Aussie, so the idea that a text "outtaa leftfield" demanding he come home or lose his family is a tad "OTT".......more like Wigan saw an opportunity to pick up a FREE bench warmer that they can farm out on Duel Reg until needed......
....and for a supposedly hard nosed businessman, Hughes does make some insanely soft decisions

| The wigan offer was not on the table before he made the decision to go back up north.
Contrary to other suggestions, my info was that he had come to the end of his contract with us in Oct and had not signed anything else!

| Ackers mark 2? It did not take long for him to agree a deal after his leaving announcement.
Not at all. He was out of contract and has signed for a club near his family home not on another continent. How does anyone know whether or not he had resigned and whether or not there was a fee involved. People on here assume an awful lot. Good luck JS you did well for us and I appreciate that

Considering Broncos play their home games on Sundays he will be playing for Workington that day and not sitting in Ealing

| How sad Lister you by your own admission have been to hardly any matches and therefore probably have no idea of Sammuts input and the amunt of games he changed when he came on the pitch. Credit where credit is due he did a lot for us

| It’s never gonna catch on yet again we agree on something
Why on earth would you boo the bloke? He did a good job for us, he came to end of his contract and decided living away from his family was not right for him so moved on.
