What a game.
I must confess, I never gave us much chance in the 8s, I was just happy to be there. I thought we would struggle up front and that would be our downfall.
The heart and determination shown recently has been fantastic (not just this game). We have won close games and done it from quite a few losing positions. The confidence must be sky high right now. I still think we have a job on our hands to go up but what a chance we have given ourselves.
Last night for me was our strongest team and we need to stay clear of injury.
Watching us, I really hope we can get a few more of this team signed up for the future as we are heading in the right direction.
Great advert for London and great to see so many fans there.

As to Battye ( I flag that I have an interest as my son and I sponsor him), but it applies to others too - we need to get key players signed up for next season irrespective of which we play in? Concerned that key players will exit!

Hi guys, Hull fan here. Many congratulations on your win last night, it was a great game for the neutral to watch and demonstrated there is life beyond SL. Would be great to have the capital represented in the top flight again, hope you guys do well in the rest of the 8's.

Just watching the game on tv. Confirmed what I saw at the actual game last night. Cracking performance, matched em in every part of the game. Our last tackle kick from api not perfect, think a better opposition would punish us.
Hindmarsh excellent. Elois I think did a really good job in that first 30 mins. Ted played a really sensible game, good hard running and not losing his head. What was really noticeable was the chat on field and organisation, particularly Api.
Thought the ref had an excellent game, don’t think there was one penalty for offside, couple of things he could have blown up for but let em get on and play Rugby and it worked. Only blew for what he really needed to.
Have to say the Widnes full back is a talent, he has got a decent future if he gets a decent contract with a decent club.
Widnes fans are not a happy bunch.

HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
