| Attendance seemed very small. Passing wasn't slick. Penalities given away OK

| Well a win is a win....and it'll give the lads confidence heading into the 2nd half of the season. 4 MASSIVE games in May now....we need a minimum of 6 points from the 8 on offer......it would be great to stop Leigh's resurgence dead in their tracks and I reckon that game is key to where we end up at the end of the season.
We also really need to boost our +/- in the back to back Sheffield games....we have a game in Hand and are well ahead of Halifax but only 50 or so against Leigh and +/- could be key.

| To be honest I thought the attendance was seriously worrying. Not least because pre-match I spotted a large pile of leaflets offering free admission to two adults on Saturday in a shop on the Broadway. I'm not on Facebook but I'm told the club posted something about putting them through a lot of local letter boxes too.
It seems we can even get people to watch us for free which is a pretty terrible place to be and not exactly likely to encourage David to believe it's worth continually hurling money at us.
I watched Prescot and Oxford, please not again

Cold, miserable, unappealing day. Stay in doors and watch TV or go and watch a new sport, albeit for free.
I suspect if it had have been summer, as advertised, we would have got a few interested parties through the gates.
Oh, and the opposition was Dewsbury - where ? I hear them say.

| I spoke with a couple who are Ealing Trailfinders fans. They had come on an offer. They were impressed with the numbers on Saturday, saying their attendances are not good. It has to be said that a lot of faces were missing and Dewsbury did not bring that many down. Weather was not all that either which did not help.

| Apparently there were 2,000 at Trailfinders on Sunday for the Tyrrells Premier 15s final. Union clubs are really pushing the women's game now.

| Ah that’s why we had to play sat!
Think the fact we have lost a few games on the bounce is going to have an effect on who comes as well.
As for it being Dewsbury and saying who! Difficult to change that one, even if you are super league in the eyes of non believers the only team they seem to know is wigan.
Estimates? 500-700-900
As for Tyrell’s and 2000 it was a final! And women’s rugby union (and league on a smaller scale) is getting a fair bit of press.
Interestingly the times sport on Sunday had reports on all the SL games, usually they just ignore it or give it a small para.

| Guesstimate 400 perhaps at kick off. It filled a bit, a touring French junior RL team arrived at half time.
I think the football factor was significant. A lot of teams were playing key games and I know a few missing for that reason.

| Ouch! That’s not good number, so officially it will be around 700 then with the way clubs count!
Competing against other sports is always going to make it difficult.
Interesting to hear at least a little bit of interest from Ealing fans, wonder if they will come back.

| There weren't many there and I reckon a 3pm Saturday kick off on the last weekend of the non league football season played its part. Maybe an argument for Friday night lights? A fair scattering of us went over to Haringey for the Toronto v Halifax fixture too. That might have attracted a few non season ticket holders?

| Not sure how many Dewsbury brought, but Fev Batley etc brought aa few, play on a fri and those few are never coming.
Not sure why any broncos fan would prefer Toronto game over broncos.
Sat was a one off, stick to Sunday I reckon

Making excuses for getting fewer to a club with "record ST holder numbers" according to some, than who watched a womens RU match is pointless. We are laying in a bed made by the owner.....there is no excuse for it.

David Hughes doesn't care about attendances. If we average 1,000 over 15 or 14 games in the season at £20 a ticket then it's £300,000 a year tops......he was throwing £2,000,000 a year at us in SL and we had (when he took over) close to 4 and a half times that number and he sat back and "fiddled as Rome burnt"......he is at the club now because he feels responsible for setting the club and the game in the capitals conscience back decades.
My stance on his attitude to marketing is not a mystery.....what is a mystery is why the club felt the need to leaflet drop surrounding boroughs with free ticket offers for the visit of Dewsbury on a day when there was another "event' style game of RL in the same town.....well meaning but inept and badly planned marketing is as much use as a chocolate teapot.
If that gate was 400 as some have said, thenthat is shocking. We are sat in 4th in charge of our own destiny and with Catalans truly awful and Salford suspected to be in financial strife each week, there's a real chance of more than one Ch club going up......

| I wouldn't be so sure. It has previously been confirmed David agreed to a previous extension on the grounds his input reduced year on year. He'll have a limit somewhere and any signs his input may need to rise at at time when the ground share is fast running down - an obvious time to review future plans - isn't great.
The cash take must have been awful. I bet most of the small number of fans were season ticket holders. Some of the others came in on a free offer so how many actually paid?
What other income sources were there? Programme sales, hardly any. Proggie sales have collapsed generally across sport and I hardly saw anyone reading one. The club shop? Ticks over but won't take a fortune mid-season. 50:50, from memory the prize was 30 quid odd so presumably that's what the club got post tax. The gate and club shop money is also subject to VAT of course.
At the end of last season it was very clear Oxford were not taking enough money on match days to pay the rent never mind the players. I hope London didn't slip into that position in Saturday as that would really focus minds. Just ask the Oxford owners......

| Here we go again! So the club don’t market a game, it’s wrong. They market a game it’s wrong.
Event style game of rugby league on in london where? Toronto put up a beer tent and gave away a load of free tickets hardly an event, apparently the poor crowd for them was the broncos game, the weather and london men’s league (which hasn’t actually started) otherwise apparently they would have had a 1000 more there.
As for DH You can’t change it dog, so why whinge about it? We all know, the club needs investment, but at mo DH is all we have.
