| I am glad I a not alone in not believing that the attendance was over 8000. Counted all the season ticket holders as present I suppose.

Think so . All the season ticket holders that applied for tickets that is . Wigan have around 9K season ticket holders .

4438_1358277234.jpg Didn't gat an answer when I asked Radford how much he paid Stokes to save his job.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_4438.jpg |

(As tickets were bought via Wigan possibly first Wigan game as I certainly wasn't on their database before this week. Always paid on the day visiting with Broncos strangely enough.)
Have to say they must have been elsewhere in the ground as my area was all Wigan. Some will have been Wigan fans down south anyway (I went to Brick Brewery pre game so approached on a north bound train, there were a surprising number of families in RL kit heading in that way suggesting they live South London-ish.)
I hope those figures are right but my experience of the day didn't reflect those figures. I was also surprised at how few Broncos faces / how little Broncos merchandise I saw. Obviously in a crowd of X thousand I may just have missed people - I didn't see Paddock for example - but it did make me think a lot of RL fans down south may have totally burnt their bridges with the sport. A good friend of mine who did numerous away games and had a season ticket for years was three miles away watching football for example.'"
I was there mate, but in my Catalan shirt! Of to France on Wednesday for their last game.

| Probably why I missed you, wasn't looking for someone dressed down! I'm going in to London for Broncos last home game so won't see you there either......
In all seriousness whatever the crowd was / wasn't hopefully the day met enough of Wigan's KPI's to be deemed a success. Ian Lenigan is one of the few figures at the top to still believe London is an important market. If he loses faith.....
Edited to say I see Ian is hinting it will probably be repeated next season but with a regular season fixture so they have longer to promote it etc. Final analysis of the bottom line yet to be done but he sounds upbeat about the corporate side etc.

Well my reading of it is that they'll try it again, the Wigan presence in London is increasing - Capital Challenge opposition for Skolars again, a tie up with Kings Colege Uni - while London continue to sink without trace with Cap'n Hughes at the helm. I suppose a lot will depend on how the crowd increases or decreases for next time , assuming there is one. Wonder if they'll play at the Den again? Think it was a pretty smart move playing at the ground of a team thst had been relegated and concerned about loss of revenue, it will surely have made Millwall more receptive to Wigan's approaches.
Will be absolutely gutted if Wigan do make a go of it when London have had so many opportunities to make it work down South! I mean how many times can one man/ club continue to shoot himself / itself in the foot?

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_66844.jpg |

| Yeah, you would think St David of Hughes would get at least 1 decision right by mistake.

| The BBC are quoting Ian as saying Wigan's line in the sand was 4000 fans. Above that was a success, below that a failure. As even the most pessimistic of those guesstimating the crowd has said it was over 4000 it seems to have passed that test.

They'll take Catalans regular season game next year....if they can get a decent ground and it's a decent month (not freezing)...otherwise they might go the whole hog and try to fill loftus road with a game v Leeds on a Saturday night!
I really hope this works for them because whilst I have no love of Wigan, I want that idiot Hughes to see what could have been!

| Agree it will be Catalans and suspect that they'll work with the RFL to ensure the fixture is at the right point in the calendar.
As an aside, was there any signs of Wigan fans taking in London v Workington? There were a handful at Hemel but no serious numbers.

Let's see what happens in years 2, 3 and 4 before sitting in the warm rays of Ian Lenagan's brilliance.

| Give me the warm rays of Ian Leneghan's brilliance over the dismal dankness of David Hughes dimwittedness any day of the week.
The only reason Wigan have filled the London Super League vacuum is because of his litany of failures.

Now I think about it, didn't we do the same thing a t the Stoop?
