We are LONDON rl, not Barnet rl, not Richmond RL, not Brentford, ok we used to be Fulham but even then I doubt that the fan base were from Fulham.
Our fan base and our target audience is much wider.
Don't get me wrong trying to get the locals to embrace the club has to b good, especially when it comes to having to build the new stands when we are maxing out everyweek!!!!!!!
This is why our marketing is so difficult, our target area is not just North London or West London in my view its the whole of the south of the country.
Back on thread though, if the shocking thing happened and we started winning a few games, very easily you could get to the point where getting in could become a problem'"
Good point, well made.
re:The 5k sell out possibilities. Will be great for atmosphere and make every game epic hopefully.

Lol, exactly this. Saracens Players have said what a great difference a small intimate near full 10k Stadium at their own new ground Allianz Park, has been compared to a quarter full 17k stadium at Watford FC.
Fingers crossed we get a great atmosphere at every Hive games as a great matchday experience despite results could get more people to fall in love with our club.

Yep...because handing out free Oyster Card Holder across town at Canary Wharf paid dividends
I don't disagree with your sentiment BTW, but the reality is the club don't have the time nor, I suspect, the funds to promote themselves across London and the SE. What we have is 13 home games to get enough interest from the public to convince a new investor/new investors of the potential in the club.
These 13 games could deliver 66,300 fans......I'd be happy if we got 60% of that and the reality is that the best chance of getting the 3k average this season is from people within a short trip to the club, regulars, ANZACS, Big Hit attendees and Ex-pat northerners.
Personally, I doubt much will be achieved without the buy in from both the (by now, very ed off) volunteers and the local amateur scene.
Get the investment secured beyond 2015 and THEN worry about the wider audience

Yes our fan base is much wider but god knows how many are left or even interested now. Many will consider the new location too difficult to come to from where they live.
We have limited resources for marketing and im pretty sure targetting the people who can get there easily because they can 'walk to the ground' 'get a bus there in 20 mts' etc. is an easier market to crack task than persuading people from the other side of London to travel.
Im sure all data bases available will be used and interviews on Talk sport London Radio SKY etc will take place as well and if we get off to a winning start and be competitive we may be lucky. However marketing is something we have found challeging in the past. Maybe a few volunteers could lend a hand who have time on their hands prmoting the club at strategic points in the community e.g shopping Malls etc.

why on earth would anyone consider the new location harder to get to from where they live?? Has it passed folk by that its flipping London! its got a train service that is interlinked from all over the place to get there strewth what do we need personal taxis for everyone?
Why is it any harder than the stoop?
Actually in my view its not London and the SE that is our supporter pool! its the whole of the south, draw a line from say Glos in the west over to I dunno Colchester in the east and everything south of that
Reading! Oxford! Aldershot, Portsmouth, Southampton, Brighton I agree marketing that sort of area is a nightmare
So look at it, we went to Twickenham, did the capture the locals work there? nope, we were in Brentford did the capture the locals work there? nope, we went to Charlton, ooh look the locals flocked in ahh no they didn't! This whole view that the locals around a ground are suddenly going to suddenly convert to Rugby League is just daft.
If we win a couple of games, then supporters will start coming back simple!

Michael.....I suspect you are spectacularly missing the point.
We have maybe 1,200 fans, who regardless of their frequency of attendance or fiscal value, will travel across broken glass scattered over glowing ambers to get to most of our games. Personally, although it would seem Gus, Tony and Dave don't give a about these people because they didn't bring enough mates, these people are out life blood and they will as much, travel to cannons wherever tube station and stagger to the hive.
The problem we have, short and mid term, is NEW fans.
Most drug dealers subscribe to the give'm something for free and they'll be back, but free is cheapening the product. Also, it would have to be bloody good dope to get potential addicts from Essex over to south Herts.
No....the issue now is 13, or at best 26 opportunities to show that there is an audience for RL in the capital......68 days to sell 5,100 tickets for game 1.......and believe me, the clock is ing ticking!

Because they've investigated the options of course.

According to this article uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/rugb ... --spt.html Hurst is still without a club and "is coaching sport in after-school clubs and waiting for a call to return to full-time rugby." I'd rather have him in the squad than that sicknote malcontent Clubb.
Besides we need bodies.
Currently even O'Callaghan's return would be welcomed.
