Why couldn't a trust start out as an investor rather than an owner?

200k is actually a decent sum for a start off running a Champs club, and Id bet 1000 season ticket holders would make us one of the strongest clubs outside SL at the moment.

That's the realistic future here. Being a top Champs club with an aim of 1000 x 5 year pledges for season tickets. Would makes us by far the strongest club in the south, but maybe not SL but still be something to be proud of compared to what we have now.

I for one would be happy with that if we could find a suitable facility that didn't charge us silly money.

Don't want to throw a damper on the fans initiative proposal and I'd happily put a fair few quid in (wife permitting) if there was a credible business plan, but this idea has come up a number of times in the past and none of us has ever stood up and said they'd commit themselves to leading this and driving it forward. Without some such person, it's a non starter.

If it came to the life or death of the club, offering a viable future at champs level with a sound business plan from NEW management it would be possible to get 1000 people to buy into it.

We know neither the numbers nor the investment per head. However, I - and I expect others - are happy to invest a few hundred even if turns tits up.

Oh, and I'm not a season ticket holder, so I don't think the 859 figure is any kind of maximum level of support. There are thousands of disaffected Broncos who have attended a game or two in London in the past 5 years and there lies the key.
